Sounds like Morocco did to Sahrawi what Israel did to the Palestinians.

@Scaleoization I never said anything abut Algeria. I'm talking about Morocco's treatment of the Sahrawi people. It seems they have more claim to the land than Morocco did . Morocco profits greatly from the phosphate mines they control in the region.

@Scaleoization Does those wealthy Southern Saharans actually are from the Sahrawi natives to the land or are they the Moroccan settlers that came there after Morocco balked at the International Court's decision. By that logic Israel should also be exonerated because their own settlers have high standard of living and they invest heavily in the economy of the land they've taken . Again, if we go by historical and demographic ties, the Sahrawi would have the rightful claim to the place.

@Scaleoization Yes, by that the 1948 UN border it was was a legal country. Modern Israel looks nothing like that 1948 recognised border , they have conquered and illegally occupied most of Palestine and even parts of Syria and Lebanon in the series of war that followed . Again, if we look at the history of the region long before Spain or even ancient Morocco colonised the place , The Sahrawi still have a stronger claim, as you said history didn't start in the 20th century. Morocco should have just let them form their own government .
