Firstly, there is no such thing as an animal that prefer death or extinction over the continuation of the species. Considering that every single species on Earth fought tooth and nail for life , I guarantee you that they would tell you otherwise if they had sapience. Secondly ,domesticated livestock generally live better lives than their wild counterpart. As for the third part, I'm assuming you're talking about cattle ranching (which caused the clear cutting of wide swathes of the Amazon) as poultry farming isn't really that destructive to nature.Still your number is greatly exaggerated .

Secondly ,equating The Holocaust to eating different types of animals that is a false equivalence at best (unless you're trying to say the Nazis were cannibals).The Holocaust was a systematic attempt at eradicating (aka causing extinction) to people of differing ethnic origins and background.Animal husbandry is a system to ensure that we can rear different types of animals in the most productive way (which includes increasing their numbers).One is designed to eradicate, the other ensuring the survival and continuation of those species( cattle eg).See the dichotomy? Thirdly,that paper you cited(the 51% percent one) have been widely criticised by climate scientist as flawed as it used highly inaccurate and speculative methodology (double accounting,miscalculating greenhouse gas cycles etc).Most climate scientist agreed that agriculture as a whole( which includes animal husbandry) accounts for around 10% of global greenhouse gas emission.I already addressed the Amazon issue. Fourthly, turning to "Green Power" is the best way to stem climate change (as agreed by virtually all climate change scientist/expert).Our mass industrialisation is the main contributor to the greenhouse emission and replacing them with sustainable and cleaner energy is the way to go. BTW, people have died from vegan diet as well.There is a good reason why Italy banned parent from forcing vegan diet on their children.

Again, World Watch institute figures is outdated and have been picked and dismantled even since it was released in 2009. Of course , 18% (at most, some estimate put it as low as 12-14%) from animal husbandry is indeed a high number.When combined with the emission from other agricultural fields (non animal based) the number rose to as high as 30% (again it's lower based on some other estimates).This is still higher than transportation interns of emission.
