@rhettbaldwin8320 Not in traffic stop, it is illegal to refuse ID when cops request them in a traffic stop . It is an arrestable offense. This is true in all US states and territories.

@ The thing is , cops somehow alway have reasonable articulable suspicion to initiate a traffic stop . It can be something as simple as telling you that your signal light was malfunctioning or you were drifting across lines. Unless your car have camera mounts or hardware that records telemetry, it is impossible to question them. Once traffic stop have been imitated, they are legally in full control. Things like Penn v Mimms show how much power they can have.
