Considering some of the best Li ion battery have the density of over 400 Wh/kg , I would say that LFP have a long way to go before the former can be called obsolete.

Wow, those villagers must be pretty rich to afford those Tesla.

There are a few things lot of people don't understands about these enforcement agencies and why they seems so slow to respond: 1) They are actually relatively underfunded and understaffed compared to the myriad of scam and fraud around. That is whey unless there is already a dedicated team/investigators working on the the case , new case got put on the backburner. Bureaucracy slows this process even further . 2) Gathering sufficient actionable (ones that would stick in court) evidence/proof take time and resource , hence why it can took months or even years into the investigation. Many time , the investigator were already working (months usually) into the case when a news or other outlets broke the news of the potential scam. 3)In case of certain frauds, agencies such as the SEC may establish receivership to claw the moneys from the "winners" in scam and reimburse the "losers" of such fraud. However , it is impossible to recover 100% of the loss (though high percentage of recovery have been achieved for some ponzi/pyramid scams in the past) and it is much. much , much harder to do so for publicly traded company such as Nikola, hence why they usually opted for a punitive (those many feel the fines are still too low) fines on top of jail sentence for such. Of course this have some may erroneously claims that agencies like are doing this to squeeze some "pocket money".

@NeatoboyAus Unfortunately, as former fanboy of Elon Musk , I do know a lot about him. I am still a huge fan of both Tesla and Space X, but I no longer like Musk as a person. Contrary to what The Electric Viking erroneously said, it is possible to dislike Musk and still like his companies.
10
To be fair, Musk is rather horrible person. I'm talking as a former fanboy.

The only thing that will stop BYD and other Chinese companies form dominating the EV market US and EU would be the inevitable protective economic policies that no doubt these countries will implement. We've seen this with in the past with US and Japanese cars.
7
The reason they couldn't fast forward any pro EV incentives : Republicans.
7
@davelpz3340 And yet the conservatives in the US ran on anti-environmental policy to the point denying the science behind climate change. Did you forget Trump war on renewable energy? If you are conservative and also an care about the environments , you are a minority among your people. Conserving the environment (or even life) is not really on the agenda of US conservatives. Also, the idea that liberal want communism is as stupid as saying conservatives wants racist fascisms .
7
" Tesla used to sell it's vehicles at a loss before they became profitable." That is both right and wrong. Technically Tesla always makes moneys (they sold it way above production cost) on each vehicles they sold , the problems was the cost of expansion was higher than the revenue. Tesla solves that by selling more vehicles, something that would be impossible if they lose money on very EV sold.
6
@NeatoboyAus Why do I think a narcistic , hypocritical ,self serving egomaniacal man l like Elon Musk is a horrible persons? Maybe you should ask why people don't think a narcistic , hypocritical ,self serving egomaniacal man isn't a horrible person.
6
@jochendemnitz3149 And somehow you don't think that they will tax hydrogen?
5
@itekani Weight isn't even an issue for Tesla or any other BEV. I don't know what the OP was smoking with his statements..
5
The thing is both the Fukushima and Chernobyl reactor are based on obsolete design ( both of them are actually around the same age) and the RBMK design was notoriously flawed. Opposing nuclear just based on them is like tryin to ban consumer aviation just because the De Havilland Comet crashed. It is almost impossible for current generation nuclear power plant to suffer a meltdown let alone an explosions. The risk of catastrophic nuclear accident is astronomically low. This is even better with next gen design where such accident is physically (as in it would break the laws of physics if such accidents occurs) impossible . Had we not allow Chernobyl to spooked us into abandoning nuclear, we could have solved most of the Climate Change problems by now.. Even some of the so called "green" movements were horrifically misguide : for example Germany myopic decision to shut down the safer and cleaner nuclear plants for more dangerous, more polluting and more radioactive coal burning plants and importing natural gas from Russia.
5
Funnily enough, one Hummer EV being delivered is still far more than all of of Cybertruck that was delivered in 2021.
4
Have anyone also checked the rate of racial discrimination in a union factory vs Tesla's?
4
@brandonlong2796 Imaging thinking it take millions to install Tesla supercharger and they only install 2 stalls. Imagine being this wrong and confident about it , it makes no sense .LOL.
4
Transport Evolved did a far better job at debunking this add that you did. Suffice to say BMW have nothing to do with this.
4
You should do a video debunking Hoovie's Garage's garbage claim about EV.
4
Tesla really need to roll out those $25K car.
4
@godzillamothra5983 Depends on which countries/regions, I suppose. Around here, rural villagers are barely middle class and can hardly afford the cheapest Tesla. Heck, here you can literally retire and never work again (provided you already own a home) with the money needed for the cheapest Tesla on the market.
4
If you are lookin for an unbiased EV news , then you are at the wrong place. Sam Evan /The Electric Viking is very biased in his coverage of EV news. It is ok if you know what his bias are (he's a Tesla and Chinese EV fanboy) , just don't ' spread misinformation on how "unbiased' he is. There are are some unbiased EV news channel out there e such as Transport Evolved.
4
You forgot to add long range high capacity aircrafts and large scale static power storage . Hydrogen scales best when the weigh requirements mean that batteries are too heavy and strangely enough where weigh isn't an issue at all (static storage) but instead amount of energy that can be stored for long time (think storing summer energy for winter).
4
@flodjod Firsly , Hydrogen isn't (and never has and never will be ) competing with solar power for energy generation . It's competing with battery for energy storage Secondly, It still have a huge weight advantage over batteries.
4
@np4029 Yes, but hydrogen isn't that technology. The laws of physics itself mean that hydrogen will never be cheaper than BEV for consumer vehicles. In the future they may be techs that make BEV obsolete, however HFCEV isn't and won't be that tech simply because it need to break the laws of physics to do so.
4
@Scooter-K I wouldn't' say Biden is the best President ever, he is just far better than Trump.
4
"With gasoline around $5/gal (thanks a lot Joe Biden) " Jokes aside, you do realise the that current high oil price have little to do with Joe Biden, right?
4
@walterndlovu6329 BEV is cheaper to buy and run than a HFCV.
3
@walterndlovu6329 Again, why don't think hydrogen will be taxed too? IF BEV is getting taxed, then there is no reason not to tax HFCEV and hydrogen fuel too.
3
I think it is rich of you calling them acting on emotional conjecture when your channel is all about that.
3
More like they hated Trump more than Biden.
3
@skinnymoonbob Public transportation is cheaper if you don't want to own your car.
3
@kuznacbendelejev6924 I don't think a $50K plus car is for the medium class or lower .
3
You kidding , right? This channel have always been one of those Tesla pom pom girl from day one, and only now you are unsubscribing?
3
And here I thought you would like to focus on the positivity and not spread FUD.
3
@FatboySE103 Did you post without reading the thread?
3
Funnily enough Biden himself did really publicly said "Lets Go Brandon!" on live TV , showing that unlike Trump (who would be fuming at any slight) , Biden don't' really care about that lame insult.
3
@Patrick-bu5vy Except that guys wasn't spouting any facts. It was at best opinions.
3
@Patrick-bu5vy That is not facts , that is pure negative propaganda.. The facts is there have been less accident per capita among FSD user compared to regular driving.
3
Don't Mitsubishi have lot of other business besides cars? I mean they literally build the F-2 fighter bombers (just like how they build the Zeroes in WW2)..
3
@p0kerp1aya I don't know, from what I saw in the US, most bigots came from the right.

Several independent studies have concluded that even in the worst case scenario in which all the electricity used to power battery electric vehicles (BEV for short) came strictly form burning coals, the BEV would still be less polluting and produced less greenhouse gas than an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles through both of their lifetime. Remember :this was for 100% coal, with the energy grid getting more green a BEV would be less polluting than an ICE in just 2-5 years the moment the ratio of green energy for the grid reaches over 50%
2
@sergeypavlov7249 That is because Hydrogen can't compete with batteries for consumer vehicles. Hydrogen cars only have two advantage over BEV : refuel time and range. The former doesn't really matter when you can recharge overnight at home or at works and newer battery technology is rapidly catching up to hydrogen's range. In all other metrics such as cost (both to set up and own) , complexity and performance for consumer vehicle , a HFCEV are lesser than BEV.
2
@sergeypavlov7249 Public transports and heavy utility vehicle are not consumer vehicles. If you are going to talk about cost then remember these few thing: 1) HFCEV is still far more expensive than a BEV to own an maintain. 2) It cost more to set up a hydrogen logistics networks than it is to install a level 1or 2 charger on very available public parking space. 3) BEV is getting cheaper and we are rapidly approaching price parity with ICE
2
So many of the clips used here were that of nuclear power plant instead of coal.
2
I despise Trump voters, the truth is no sane , thinking decent person would support Trump at this point. But if any conservatives want to convert to EV that that is a good thing. Unfortunately conservative leaders and governments are very anti-EV. They literally is still trying to pass legislations to punish EV adoption. And Eric, you are half right about the media that are spreading the divisiveness in the US, it is the RIGHT-Wing media that is created division in the US. Who do you think spread the Big Lie that lead to January 6th and spread disinformation about EV, Climate Change and vaccination in the first place But the way, Russel Brand is one of those crazy idiot grifters . He is not someone whose opinion worth listening to.
2
Ah, the Green Party of Germany. The same pasty that behind Germany's shutting down their nuclear reactor in favour for more radioactive and more dangerous coal power plants .
2
Only morons think FCEV are the future of consumer EV. FCEV are a dead end technology that will go nowhere for consumer EV.
2
6:45 , umm .. No, upfront cost is problems because they simply don't have that much money to fork out o anew vehicle, not because they are "uneducated " on the cost benefit. This is at best ignorant and disconnected and at worst horrendously condescending . If we want to move away from fossil fuels, we need less $50K cars and more lower middle class cars.
2
@brunoheggli2888 I don't see how Tesla 's margins will "sink like a rock" .
2
@BarryObaminable Thanks for confirming what I said.
