@briendoyle3823 There is a this terrible myth that is used against EV in which people claims they are more prone to catching fire and exploding compared to ICE vehicle , despite the facts saying otherwise . A few days ago another channel that covered this attack claimed that Tesla tend to spontaneously combust, which is false as they are zero cases of Tesla spontaneously combust outside of traffic accident or being caught in an unrelated fire.

When the new first broke out , many new outlets and people reporting on it emphasize that Tesla exploded while neglecting to mention that an IED was the cause, some even making false claim about EV being prone to do that . While many of them have retracted and issued more correct reporting, the initial rush to dunk on Tesla ands Musk spread this harmful myth about EV. Considering we need EV to fight climate change, this is obviously bad. Again ,saying explosion happened because it was a Tesla Cybertruck is irresponsible and misleading.

While many of them have retracted and issued more correct reporting, the initial rush to dunk on Tesla ands Musk spread this harmful myth about EV.
