  3. You should check Isaac Arthur's youtube channel ( conveniently named Isaac Arthur) . He did an interesting series on the Fermi Paradox and the various possible solution to it ( one was even a nice scientific take on Cthulhu type cosmic horror).

  4. No, humanity will pretty much survive this rounds of climate change. The thing is, this time around we , human are the ones that are responsible for both climate change and the current mass extinction.

  5. Most of the species that we rely for food are almost immune to the climate change due to the protection we gave them . Even if the entire biosphere of our planet can no longer support life (which is unlikely unless some cosmic event ala gamma ray burst occurred) , we can still survive due to methods like in-door vertical farming (which works well with both flora and fauna). It will be challenging and there will be catastrophic calamities due to the change that will affect million (if not billions ) of human and wipe out most wild species , but humanity as a whole will be able to endure it.
