  1. That depends. You need to provide the name of the virus for us to determine what/which host it targets.

  2. Firstly, most virus do not target humans. Heck, most don even target eukaryotes. So no, not all of them makes us sick. Secondly, there are virus that are beneficial to humans. For example we have been using certain bacteriophages for industrial purposes and there are growing interest in suing them for in the medical field. Take note that these phages only target certain kinds of bacteria and do not and cannot infect eukaryotes, thus making them very bad for their host ( which isn't us) . As for the question is there any virus that is "good" for its host...I don't know.
