  26. A wall of positive thoughts coming up, such a good showcase of the CX-90. Really makes me want one right now. Also, really good shoot location for the car. First and foremost, that thing looks gorgeous surprisingly on the outside, obviously on the inside. Giant side mirrors with a thin frame, rear window wiper - might be weird to mention those things but it's not obvious these days anymore and I'm so glad such features are there. The interior looks straight up luxurious. I am biased because I love such shade of brown but it literally can't get any better. And the fact that this is alcantara (I assume) and not just leather manages to even one up it. Steering wheel - I love it. Obviously kinda yoinked from Bentley but I do not mind it at all. I LOVE the tactility of it. The things that shouldn't be put on the screens have physical buttons, the only screen has such a good size, perfect placement (yeah, I would rather not have it at all, but if I have to, the placement of it doesn't get better than this) and it's so well-placed within the dashboard. My only wishes are to see it with piano black details instead of chrome and analog dials instead of those digital ones, but it's still awesome as it is. The only downside of the interior that I noticed is the shifter itself and the area around it. It looks so cheap it manages to age a brand new car a couple years from the get-go. I wish there were some additional configuration options to make it look more premium because it stands out as it is. Not much to say about the engine, but from what you've shown us - very interesting, seems like a great fit and a surprising one on top of it since it's a Mazda. Looks very spacious under the hood. I don't know about the technical part of it, but the space provided makes it look like a good fit for some mods. I really, truly hope Mazda gets in touch with you (or the other way around) once again to let you drive the CX-90 some more. I'm very curious about the seats, practicality (although I doubt it's possible to test it in the US where everything's bigger to fit all those big ahh trucks) and fun factor as a daily.

  39. This is insane, it just straight up is and you don't need to be a "car guy" to admit that, it's a what? 50? yo car that looks like it's even older than that and yet all of it's details look like they came out of the factory yesterday. I don't have much interest in such classics, especially American ones, because while I like to watch them I could never see myself maintaining such things that are ready to fall aparat just from staring at them unless you put tens of thousands of dollars into a proper restoration, but this one is just insane. It is a work of art as someone else stated down below. I don't even wanna think about all the hours that went into putting this together. I can watch pretty much any car in today's world thanks to the Internet, but I rarely get the feeling of "I want that car" when I see them. I see them, I enjoy watching them a ton, I'm glad they exist, I sure wouldn't mind owning them, but there's rarely a genuine feel of wanting one that stays in my head for years. This - I want one, I'm sure gonna keep this one in the back of my mind for years to come, it actually created a spark in my heart and in my brain. I had no idea such thing may exist and now that I know it does, I actually felt in love with it just thanks to this short video. Take that as a "thank you" or "I hate you", whatever you choose, because that just became my dream american classic, if not a dream classic overall, I am not kidding. I feel like I age 50 years when I type such long ass essays in the comments but I just had to share my thoughts. No car has made me feel this way in a while.

  43. Been a while since your last truck review, it's nice to see another one. I've been pretty generous towards them (for an European) and your videos are the sole reason I definitely want to own one at some point before I put one foot in my coffin already so I can actually use it for purposes it's been made for. Now, when it comes to this one - it is actually too much for my European-programmed brain to comprehend. It is INTIMIDATING. Your Type R looked like an RC car next to it, genuinely. If I saw one behind me while sitting in a Golf or something similar size - I don't care, I'm speeding just to get away from it. 😂Like, some other trucks that you passed or the Wrangler or the Escalade - all of these cars were just tiny next to the Chevy. For me it felt closer in size to the red trolley(?) truck that you passed than to some other trucks present on video. A thing I learned from this one is that big ahh trucks ain't for me. Felt a bit dizzy watching this due to how high you're sitting w/o piloting a semi. I think I couldn't do anything bigger than a TRX. It always amazes me how capable these are. After you climbed that little hill with a ditch on the left, I was like "cool, now surely you're taking the left to turn back, right?" and then you just proceed to crawl forward like it's nothing. I am sitting with my palms getting sweaty over here, meanwhile the Chevy just takes it like it's nothing. That's the reason why you made me want to own a truck at some point - so I can first-hand experience offroad capabilities of one, learn the limits. It's just really fascinating for me for whatever reason. Also, on a final note - I like the big exhaust on this one. Sorry for this obnoxious essay of a comment, but your truck vids always generate so many thoughts I just want to get out in hopes not a single soul wastes their time reading through them. 😶

  69. The car and the video is so good I came back a day after to watch it once more. Importing US cars to Europe makes it quite expensive to the point where Corvettes for example are considered a rather exotic sports car here in the eastern part and some solid spec Escalade is $50k+ more expensive than brand new high spec X7/X5M or $30k more than RSQ8, but if I ever got to the point where I could comfortably afford importing some US cars, this one would make the list together with a C8 Vette and a Viper, preferably ACR. I've been in love with red CTS-Vs for a while now and although I prefer it's looks over the CT5-V, I would take the CT5-V over it every single time now. To me it looks like it's already more popular than the CTS-V, I bet the parts will be more accessible in the future and the option to get the manual is just a cherry on top. I'm all for automatic transmissions in daily commuters and the CT5-V would be a lovely one for that but one thing I do not care a tiny bit about when it comes to all the sports sedans & wagons is the launch, some sprints times and precision. This is why I no longer have interest in the Germans such as RS6, M5 or E63 because if I ever were to have my pockets so deep that I'd buy a boat of such size as a daily commuter, I wouldn't care about the precision and ability to beat basically every single thing from one light to the next one. The fun factor on the long way back home is the thing that matters to me. RWD + 6 speed manual in a nearly 2 tonnes American yacht with far over 600hp on board seems like a perfect choice that ticks all boxes for me (almost... I wouldn't want to drive it in winter if that was my only car though). Absolute beast and I'm in love with every single inch of it.

  81. What's the deal with yellow tinted left side mirror? Also, how come it is registered despite the roof thingy and on a side note, what is the legal standpoint on red headlights like that Camaro had? I am fully with you on the closing words. I've been more of a 996 guy myself for the past year or two, while 991.2 has the perfect modern 911 looks in my eyes, but if someone asked me what a 911 is, a 997 would be what I'd show them. I think it's a perfect embodiment of that phase between early 2000s and what we refer to as modern cars right now, I can't imagine it being done any better. I am not the biggest fan of grey paintjobs, neither I am a fan of dark chocolate (or "espresso") leather, but despite these things this 911 is out of this world. I love all the chrome/polished aluminum details, I love the finish on the doors and the seats, I absolutely admite the seatbelts, the carbon intake is a highlight under the "hood" no doubt, but the thing that makes it look so spectacular is the rear end as a whole. Rear bumper together with these IDEAL exhaust tips and this duck tail tie together in a way I can't even describe. Just stunning. It is worth mentioning that it sounds really good too, nowadays the Carreras sound like complete vacuum cleaners, at least here in the EU and I totally forgot that a Carrera could sound that good. I had no idea such version existed and now I am absolutely in love with it and want one bad, and I mean real BAD. Screw any other newer 911, this is what I want.

  89. From being excited to watch a yellow 911, through "what the hell is Tedward ranting about again" to contemplating my entire existence after sticking through 2 minute long blooper. What an emotional rollercoaster. I wish you to put some racing tires on your Civic and take it to the track. You don't need to push it to the limit and being anxious about crashing it. You don't need to rebuild it for tracking purposes. Just take it as it is and give it a go, while being reasonable and prioritizing fun over some kind of minmaxing - there's always a bigger fish anyways. I was unsure why I went to uni to study CS, especially that I always dreamed of coming up with some amazing/gamechaning product/solution/service that would make me wealthy right away and my own business would be the only business I put my work towards throughout my entire life. After 3 years of uni out of the way already, I'm happy with the path I've chosen. In the meantime I found myself to enjoy car detailing and I plan on landing a regular 9-5 job for a couple years as I collect some money to buy a garage and open up some small scale detailing business on the weekends. If that goes according to plan, I will be more than happy and who knows what's gonna happen from there. I like to listen to your rants every now and then, you help me quite a bit to remind myself what am I here for and get my head straight. On a side note, what a pretty specimen. Plastic covers over the gauges look spotless and so does the steering wheel. Looks like it's in phenomenal condition.

  98. I was hoping you're going to show us this one when I saw you pull up to Bond Group in the Speedster. 😁 Definitely one of my dream cars and one of the cars that sparked my love for them. I remember sometime back in 2010s when I saw the 1st gen in that brown paint at Krka National Park pulling up to the parking lot. The wow effect was there. Fast forward a couple years later and the 2nd gen comes out - a true beauty and a dream car right away. Years have gone by and my love for it is still the same as it was back in the day. One thing that R8 does better than Huracan, or maybe even better than any other car is this steering wheel and center console. On this one the wheel is exceptionally good due to being two tone. I've never seen one like this in an R8 before and I'm in love. I also love that the only screen in there is the one on the dash and the center console is nearly nonexistent. In no world if I were to get one, I would think to myself "It's a good car, but I wish I could afford a Huracan instead". I don't think R8 lacks anything, even if you ignore the price difference. It is an amazing car as much as a Huracan is. For the past month I've been in my black on black on black era, but I know it's temporary. With that said - this is a gorgeous spec. This shade of blue is already my favourite choice for an R8 when I'm not in my head with the batman specs and I think this two tone interior matches it perfectly. Blue stitching to match the paint job is a cherry on top. I wish it was present on the seatbelt too. All that topped of with what is imo the best rim choice available for an R8, and in the best colour possible too! If I had ~$150-180k to spend on a car that would match all my needs (so that probably would have to be a 2nd car choice sadly), an R8 would be a no-brainer and this one in particular would definitely be one of my first R8s, if not the first overall, that I would take a look at. Couldn't care less about RWS if I could drive something that looks and sounds that good. This vid goes on my special playlist that I will definitely look at if I become somewhat wealthy. 😅

  102. I was sceptical when you mentioned it but now I see how cool of a pick up it was. You can't go wrong with an NA engine, if I were to look for a cheap to maintain car I would definitely look for NA manual transmission car myself. I really like this one because unlike other Lexus SUVs, this one looks like it's a 2015 model or something. Way less of those extra sharp cuts on the body work and while I don't think they look bad on other Lexus cars, I prefer more of those older, round shapes. It looks like it's meant to put in work on some snow and rough terrain, kind of like Land Cruisers do as well. It's kind of like RAV4s for me - I like the 2nd gen shapes much more than 4th/5th gen. As for the spec, while the Nori Green looks pretty damn good and stands out a little, I think a "Japanese" spec looks mighty fine as well, it's just probably going to be harder to maintain in this condition. :) I think Lexus does red/burgundy leather the best and I love your decision of going for it. The updated center console probably wouldn't be that big of a deal for me but whatever rocks your boat. Overall, I like this some sort of simplicity of the interior and it's elegant looks. What are your plans for it? Do you plan to keep it for years to come or are you planning on selling it after this or next winter season? It might be European thing because I feel like Lexus cars are way less common here than in the US, but they seem to depreciate like crazy, hence why I ask this question. Anyways, happy for you and excited for what you're going to do with the car. Now I can only hope your region will get blessed with some heavy snowstorms so you can film some cool GX videos for us :)

  104. First of all, good on you for standing your ground. Everyone could've had a different outlook on the situation. I bet mine would've been probably the same as yours but I know for a fact I would've had a harder time not giving in to all the dealer's solutions, especially in regards to the first issue. So I am glad you stood by your concerns and got a solution YOU were happy with as a customer. Second, hats off to your Lexus dealer for handling this situation. Primarily to understanding their customer's concerns and providing a solution that puts them first, not themselves. I am glad to hear that the technicial wasn't trying to weasel out acting like the issue isn't there. Here in Poland we had a pretty loud, few years long case of a faulty S63 AMG and while I am not sure who was in the right and who was wrong in it as I haven't followed the topic in a while (the only thing I've heard few months ago was that the car ended up in Ukraine?), the thing I'm sure about is your Lexus dealer handled an issue with a brand new, expensive car 100x better than the Merc dealer here did. I can imagine it might've be a little bit frustrating to hear the dealer is trying to play with wheels and tires when you made it clear it's not the issue, but considering how they treat you it's just respectful to let them cook as long as your car isn't out of service for many months. Again, hats off to them for handing you a new car instead of trying to fix the issue while you're on hold as they try to minimize their loss. Situations like these make me stick with a seller that's often more expensive than the competition. I have one store that I primarily source my electronics from and even though their markup is always X-1X percent higher, I stick with them because I have never had any issues with returning faulty products or making a warranty claim through them. Also, for the final take, completely agree with the top comment here. Thanks for breaking it down for us. The video's been not only entertaining but also informative and I'm glad I could learn something.
