  1. I expect the new M2 to be a similar case to new M3 & M4. People don't like it at first, but it will end up selling great. Now, I think it will happen for a different reason though. M3 and M4 are just different from the previous gen style wise and according to many users, they drive phenomenally too. This M2 is not much different style wise, but from what I've heard about M240i already, I assume M2 will be a wonder to drive and that will be the selling point. Personally, I love the interior, seats look like they're perfect for daily use and very good for occasional sporty driving as well. The screens look awfully out of place, but outside of that it looks really good. As for the exterior, the only nice thing about it might be the i30N-paint-but-worse (although I'm not sure if it fits the M2 as good as the i30N) and the rims. M3s and M4s grew on me because they're different. This is just the previous gen but awfully ugly, looks like a plastic toy car. Your closing conclusion is a good representation on how I feel about it - if you can stomach the looks, it might be a fantastic car.
