We don't live in a tyrannical state, at least that's the claim. Our leaders didn't stage a violent coup and forced their way into becoming "those in charge". WE voted them in. It was OUR choice. So...yes, as a society we failed. It isn't as if the grooming gang phenomenon is something new. This has been known about for years. We can't choose the same leaders over and over and then blame THEM for doing what they've always been doing. We have to take responsibility for our choices or these miscreants will always be in charge.
