  1. My dad grew up in WW2 Holland. He saw all kinds of soldiers, German soldiers even confiscated food and metals for the war effort. Near the end of the war, Canadian soldiers stayed in the barn on the family farm for a week or so. Yet, my dad never saw or even heard a gunshot in all that 5 years. Apparently, WW2 was a mostly peaceful war. That was my dad's experience and I'd NEVER call him a liar. So this "peaceful" protest rhetoric could be true.....right???
