@warbwashington5626 Isn't it great to make fun of a person with addiction problems? Why don't you go down to the nearest homeless shelter and make fun of those unfortunate people? Nothing more satisfying that kicking someone when he's down, is there? I know. You'll have all kinds of reasons why it's a good thing to rag on them but they're only virtuous reasons in your eyes. Most of us feel that it's cruel and condescending.

@marvin60000 Because everything he says is about the struggles of life. How tough life is and now you're telling me that he has to be mountains ahead of us to be one of us. That's ridiculous. He has to be one of us to understand what it is to be one of us. That means that he's going to fall to the same frailties that we ALL have to live through. That's where wisdom comes from. Not from the "life is perfect" idiom that the superior brain comes from. It's from one who has spent a lifetime trying to understand the complexities and the pain of life. If you can't get that....you're not thinking. I've spent a lifetime wrestling with the things he's talking about. There's no answers to it that will satisfy. It's a journey of understanding. I'll never get it all. I'm surprised that anyone.....yourself included, you thinks that they know it all.

@marvin60000 Always assume that they person that you talk to knows something that you don't. That includes everyone. Also, assume that everyone can be wrong at any given moment on any given subject. THAT includes everyone. You learn, not just from someone's or your own successes. You learn, as much or more, from the mistakes that you and others make over a lifetime. If you'll only take advice from those who've never erred in their entire life, you'll not take advice from anyone because that person does NOT exist.....anywhere. You've just dismissed the entire human race. Another thing that Peterson has taught you is that the smartest of people, like Peterson (you've said that he was) can screw up, then anyone can and will screw up. Also, you now know, from Peterson's experience, which he's been quite open about, that if a doctor ever prescribes that drug for you, DO NOT TAKE IT. That would be Peterson's advice and I know that you'd take that piece of advice, gladly. So, in a way, you've contradicted yourself.

@americancitizen36 The newspaper that wins a Pulitzer, for The 1619 Project, isn't going to like anything that Peterson writes. They'd have to be interested in truth and it's not something that they seem to be big fans of.

@warbwashington5626 The man had health issues and the drug was prescribed to him by a doctor. A DOCTOR...you smug jerk. Peterson had no idea that it could have such adverse side effects. You're a miserable little man.

@marvin60000 Peterson went to a doctor for health issues. The doctor gave him a prescription and he filled it. He didn't know that the drugs could become addictive. He didn't go out looking for heroin or meth or opium. He was sick and a doctor gave him something that he became addicted to. Why is this so difficult for you to understand? He wasn't engaging in back alley drug deals. He went to a DRUG STORE with a prescription, given to him by a doctor. This could happen to anyone....INCLUDING YOU. Show a little compassion.

@marvin60000 It must be nice to be a know it all. To be the guy that ALWAYS makes the right decisions, where everything always goes right. Most of us have to learn by our mistakes. We find out that we know it all until we don't. If you don't stick your neck out, like Peterson did, never do anything of consequence, I guess you'll never make mistakes that amount to anything. You're another one of those smug, self righteous types that loves to judge everyone as beneath them. Instead of talking about his work, you prefer to denigrate because you can't stand to see someone that has done something that outshines you.

@desnock "he's as fucked up as the rest of US" NOT "you". That's how you should crafted that sentence. Human beings are fallible. ALL OF US. To insinuate that only a certain group are fucked up, thereby eliminating yourself in that designation, shows just how arrogant and narcissistic you actually are. YOU are as fucked up as anyone else. Did he have alcohol problems? Yes he did, and he overcame them and became a highly respected academic. I can't tell you all the details of his recent problems but guess what, he's working hard on recovering on that, as well. Meanwhile, he's back to work, trying his best to understand the incomprehensible ways that humans behave. He's not wallowing in self pity. He's working and putting himself right out there, warts and all. He knows people, like you, are going to attack and vilify him, by the millions and he still sticks his neck out and takes it. You won't even use your own name when making a comment. You have a lot less to lose than he does, yet he stands up and takes it. You hide behind a made up name, because you know FULL WELL, that if people know who you are, they'll point out the fucked up things in your life.
