  2. john ramsey This where academics have taken us but it was a choice made by those academics. It isn't the logical path that academics must take. One must choose to take that path. It was the left wing academic that decided to manipulate higher learning into becoming what it is today. They were the ones that actively recruited and indoctrinated instead of spreading knowledge, while the true academic lived in his specific bubble of study oblivious to what the new left academic was doing....the false academic. This is partially, due to the naive belief that those who would advance that far, would have as the primary goal to advance knowledge and scholarship and not dogma. The false academics kept increasing their numbers by only valuing those that were of a singular ideology and the true academics were disappearing through attrition. This attrition would accelerate until it reached the point it's in now and we're seeing the end result of the loss or the true academic to the dogmatic academic. Dogmatism leads to static thinking which is a nice way of saying no thinking at all. Peterson embodies what's left of the true academic in how he uses the discipline of his specialty to examine the motives of these new humanities academics and it's not pretty.

  3. @Michael Imad Marxism is an idea. All you have to do is read his material and find out what it is. Then you study the actions and rhetoric of those who follow the Marxist creed. That'll tell you everything that you need to know about Marxists.

  4. NO....he's hates ideologues. He's said so many times. McCarthyists are definite ideologues. I don't like Marxism or Communism either, but I strongly disapprove of McCarthyism. He's a strong proponent of individualism and how the individual is unique and should take responsibility for his own well being before he tries to fix the world. McCarthyism is an ideology that tried to fix the world by making wild accusations, not anywhere close to what Peterson would advocate. Try and listen, carefully to some of his lectures and put aside your ideological thinking while listening. You don't have to agree with the things he says but at least have the integrity to present them as he believes it and not as you interpret it.

  6. So then what's the point of talking about white privilege? It's a moot subject and is reflected in the attitudes of individuals. You can't legislate it away. People will think what they think. Funny how when whites make more money that blacks or Hispanics, it's white privilege. What is it when Asians make more money than whites? Maybe if those who think they're less privileged would stop worrying about the perceived privilege of others and concentrated on the privileges that they do have, they'd be doing a lot better than what they are.
