@chileanwey If South American culture is keeping Venezuela down, then that culture has to change in order for them to grow, both economically and culturally. Why would you want them to stay down? You're dooming them to poverty and the loss of freedom and human dignity.

@marihutten It's there to be seen. I seen it. Why didn't they? It's because they don't want to see it. Canadian tourists know to bring ordinary household goods because they're not available in Cuba. Simple things like chocolate bars, toy cars and dolls, makeup will be met with gratitude because all those things aren't in any of the Cuban stores. Every Canadian tourist knows that. They just don't want to admit why it's so or they blame the United States, a ridiculous claim.

@pitchblack1012 Resist the mindset of the welfare state. Resist DEI and other socialist and progressive ideas. They will lead you down the road that Argentina and Venezuela have taken....poverty and tyranny. I think that it's quite obvious.

@marihutten I've been to Cuba, along with other Canadians, and it completely baffles me that they've seen the poverty and hopelessness of the people of Cuba but can't see how their own ideas for Canadian politics will lead us to where Cuba is now. Thanks for your comment. Maybe some of my fellow Canadians will see it and understand.

@alistairmcdougall9625 America was energy independent under Trump but is now trying to get away from fossil fuels to save the planet from climate catastrophe under the Democrats. Democrats don't want oil, American, Venezuelan, Canadian or Middle Eastern. They want green solutions and fossil fuels ain't it.
