@benisrood The government has all the cards. The power is in the hands of the government. The minute the protesters lash out, the propaganda machine will go to work and the protest will be over. They will crush them. The protesters have to win the propaganda war. If they do nothing and the government tries to crush them, the average Canadian will be faced with a choice. Does he help crush the peaceful truckers and behave like Gestapo henchmen or does he decry the violence of the government? THEY CAN'T WIN IF THEY USE VIOLENCE. The average Canadian will not stand for it. The truckers would be no different than the guy who resists arrest, thinking he's going to beat the police. It's hopeless. They have to win the propaganda war or the protest won't work.

@Erhudreamer If it was our nature, the organisers wouldn't have to stress that being peaceful is important. The fact that they've emphasised it means that they've thought it through, which implies strategy.

@JohnSmith-zo6ir If you go in guns ablazin, you'll lose. They HAVE the bullets, just like you said and they'll mow everyone of them down if the protesters start acting violently. Worse....the average Canadian will approve. We can't win by outfighting them. We have to outsmart them and by what I've seen and heard, they're not armed with an overabundance of brains.

Unfortunately, we'll not wake the students until the leftist teaching staff has been largely replaced. The universities have become the lair of the ideologue professor and they lay in wait for eager young minds to corrupt.

@JohnSmith-zo6ir There is one major difference. The German people allowed Hitler to seize and maintain power until the only option was for other countries to end it violently. The elites don't have complete power, yet and the people, those truckers and their allies, are standing up to them before their power is too strong to challenge. That's why this could be so crucial. Those truckers have to win the support of the majority of Canadians. They'll never do it with violence. The elites have to be the ones to react in fear and anger. Trudeau is showing how afraid he is by turning tail and he's not well liked as it is. If he overreacts and tries to clean the streets by force and the truckers become victims, the entire nation will be appalled. In fact, the calls for the military might backfire, if he resorts to that. If it does, they're defeated. If the military does come in, we've lost. The elites will be able to do as they wish. We can't stand up to the might of their weaponry. It's a fool's errand to try. That's why I say that we have to outsmart them and from what I've seen, that might not be that hard.

@bigbubba4314 I live in a small town in Ontario. Even here, it's surprising how the people are gripped in fear of the Covid. It overrides all logic and common sense. They can't understand why they just don't get vaxxed. In their minds, it's so simple. Do what they government wants and everything will be fine. That's what we're fighting. I have a friend who will see the logic of my argument and then stubbornly cling to the narrative, anyway. It's frustrating as hell. That's how deep and insidious the propaganda has been. In spite of the fact that they all hate Trudeau, they'll still back him because of the science and some stereotype they've been fed of the white supremacist boogeyman from out west, or the north or somewhere. They're slowly coming around but not nearly fast enough. That's why the truckers have to play it smart. Any gains they have made in turning the hearts of Canadians would be lost in one stupid move.

@CANADIAN REBEL Even if you do that, there's no infrastructure, no strong chain of command, no weapons and no money. They control the banks, the communications, transportation, the industrial complex, everything needed for any kind of conflict. At best, they'll be a guerilla militia, forever in hiding and being betrayed by a Canadian public who don't want a civil war and who just want to live in peace. The protesters are in no position to even consider that kind of confrontation. Which leaves us with one option. We have to be smarter than them. We have to expose the foolishness of their propaganda. We have to show their thirst for power for what it is. We have to force them to be the fascists that they are because, deep down, most Canadians don't trust them. We have to show the Canadian people that their mistrust is valid. They can easily defeat that small crowd in Ottawa if that crowd wants to fight. They can't defeat the majority of Canadians, who may not want to fight, but will if the government oversteps their bounds. That's how we defeat them. We expose them. It's the only way.

@jedw9983 It shows you what you know about Canada and our relationship to the queen. We have a Charter of Rights that supersedes any power that the queen has over us. That means that we are an independent nation that maintains strong ties to Britain. The power of the Charter of Rights has been affirmed and signed by the queen, herself. You are living in the past.

@bigbubba4314 That is an option and it may work. As long as the store shelves aren't empty and the public blames the truck drivers. If the public, the majority of Canadians blame the truckers, they'll lose. We'll lose. This is a game of chess. The side that makes the right moves will win and it's all psychological. The one who starts the violence will stand the greatest chance of losing. It's all about perception, how each side presents itself. Propaganda is everything and so far, we've been losing. This is our chance to turn it around. If we misstep, they'll use it as proof that they were right about us all along and the people will buy it. The fact that we were so easily cowed into 2 years of lockdowns and mandates is strong evidence of that.

I'm not sure on what you mean. As far as I can tell, the people on Jan. 6th set back the movement against the corporate elites, immensely. Thankfully, the establishment seems to be shooting themselves in the foot by overhyping the narrative. I've said it over and over. We can't outfight them. We have to outsmart them. The protesters can't charge headlong at them. They have to wait for the establishment to charge at them. The establishment has to escalate the situation into violence and it has to be obvious. The country has to be appalled at them, NOT the protesters.

@charles A poor analogy. A party can't stop the runaway train. Neither can a protest. However, the protesters in Ottawa can change the attitudes of the people so they can effect change through the political process. They can change how the political engineer, metaphorically speaking, is running the country. That political engineer is in control and his decision process can be changed. The engineer, of a runaway train, has lost control. Protesting his train driving policies isn't going to stop the train which is out of control. The government is still in control. The driver of the train has lost control. Your analogy doesn't work.

@sheilasmith7779 Violence is EXACTLY what the establishment is waiting for. One bad incident and it will be plastered all over the news and will be the excuse to send in forces to break it all up. Then anyone, even resisting a little bit, will have his picture all over the media and the confrontations will be shown non-stop. Violence is the tactic of the bully. When attacked, by said bully, you defend yourself and then use violence to control and subjugate that bully. Our government is the bully, right now. They haven't used violence yet and the reason is obvious. If they do, without provocation, they know that the average Canadian will turn on them. This works both ways. It's propaganda. We have to beat them at their own game.
