@gordonshumway137 Like it or not, we still need politicians. People, who will do the work of organising society for mutual benefits. The problem is simple. Politicians are people and people are prone to be imperfect....that includes you and me. What you do, when it's time to vote, you vote for the person who has the best ideas, who has shown themselves to be able to get the job done, make sure that the warts don't overshadow the platform. If you have a problem with what he said, talk about them. Don't denigrate him as if that's settles any argument about his points. Behave like an adult and discuss ideas.....not people.
