  1. Lightfoot officially called Chicago a sanctuary city and is now upset that people, seeking sanctuary, are going to Chicago. Did she really think that no migrant would ever show up to claim sanctuary status? It's almost as if she thought that Chicago was so far away from the border that none of them would ever show up. In other words, it was political theatre. She used those migrants as a political tool.
