@yuki_9538 How would you know if a "hella lot of police is racit bigots" if it's not recorded. You just don't know and you can't use something that's not recorded as proof of your assertion. It's illogical.

@billjones3497 Nobody thought that White people would actually fight a Civil War to end slavery, but they did. The bloodiest war in the human history until WW1. In the United States. Can't happen here....huh. Stick your head back into the sand, ostrich.

AlphaX It doesn't matter. Those statues don't belong to them. They have no right to damage the property of others. NONE. If you want people to respect you and your belongings and the things that are important to you, you have to do the same, even if you don't like it or disagree with what it stands for. This is exactly what George Orwell warned us about. The tyranny of the mob and the authoritarian state.

AlphaX "When the people find that they can vote themselves money that will herald the end of the republic." Benjamin Franklin That's democratic socialism for you. It's what happened in Venezuela. It may be what's happening now in the US. The war to end slavery, in the US, happened 160 years ago. Maybe someone should tell these protesters the war is over and to stop tilting at windmills George Orwell, like any of us, wasn't perfect but he did warn us about the types of Socialism that Stalin introduced and the National Socialism of Germany. "“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered…History has stopped. Nothing exists except the endless present in which the party is always right” Sound familiar? I'm sure Big Brother found good reasons for what he did as well.

AlphaX " Did you go to law school?" That's called an "appeal to authority" and most legit scholars know that it's a logical fallacy. Any law student knows that the best cases are built on arguments based on logic. Maybe you missed that class.

AlphaX And.....what does that have to do with the logical fallacy known as the "appeal to authority" other than to double down on the use of it. When we discuss George Orwell, we discuss George Orwell, NOT your credentials. His work and ideas are not legitimised or refuted by what you do for a living. You do those things by presenting a cogent and coherent argument of the topic at hand. I don't know where you got the idea that I think that law students sit around discussing cases all day. I said that law students know that you must use logic to present a good proposition. We have a topic of discussion and you used a logical fallacy to make a case. In other words, you've presented a poor and pointless case.

AlphaX I can counter your experiences by telling you that I've read all of Orwell's work and 1984, multiple times. That still doesn't make any assessment I might make of his work, correct or on point. It's how I present my ideas, using sound argumentation, logic and facts....that's what counts. Anecdotally listing my experiences is irrelevant to a sound assessment of his work.

Rico Staxx In other words.....MORE censorship. Great.
