@matthewpaul731 It's sounds to me as if he was getting in touch with those who he is sworn to protect. Creating a dialogue so there's no suspicion and rancor in his district. Unlike what's going on in so many of our cities. I've read one comment after another, from citizens of that county, expressing their appreciation of his work. I'll bet that doesn't happen in Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland or New York. You sound like one bitter individual.

@optimisticallycynical.814 Then why don't you say so. That original comment was one garbled mess. This sheriff seems to have the support of the people in his county. He may have some bad ideas, but is he doing a good job. I've worked with people that I didn't line up with politically and I didn't care for their life choices, but they did a good job. That's what's important when assessing a sheriff's competence. If you go looking for things that you don't like about him, like his beliefs, you're going to find something wrong. It's inevitable. When assessing his work, as a sheriff, you have to balance the good with the bad and then see which side it's weighted on. I can guarantee you, you can find fault with anyone and everyone. It's a pointless game of looking for turds. We've all left those deposits, somewhere.
