@syav4467 He just said "Regardless of one's political leanings," it's wrong. Why are you so obsessed with something that happened almost 2 years ago? Is that the ONLY thing that you have to use against Trump? Every comment thread seems to have at least one myopic statement about Jan 6th. Those who rioted and broke into the Capital building should face the law and be held to account. Almost EVERYONE believes that, even Republicans. So please...get over your obsession. Unless you're a bot. Then just go away.

Every conservative, that I know, thinks that if you forced your way into the Capital Building on Jan 6th, should face the weight of the law. EVERYONE of them. What we object to is how this ONE event is supposed to be an insurrection, the overthrow of the government. That it's being used to investigate ordinary citizens who weren't even in Washington that day. If fact, the comment implied that pushing a police officer is illegal, that it was an assault on a police officer. A CRIME. And somehow you turn it upside down and accuse him of rationalising the Jan 6th riots. Either your reading comprehension are at a primary school level or you're so obsessed with this event that the rhetoric just spews out of you uncontrollably. Come back to earth...please.

@SurfCityAmpRoom1 Was that the most trite talking point that you could find? You do realise that this or variations of it, has been regurgitated thousands of times. It's like someone inserted a nickel in you and you blabbed on of the ten lines that you're programmed to say.

@syav4467 But we weren't talking about that. The video was about something that happened LAST NIGHT and it was reprehensible behaviour. But you come along and deflect the conversation away from topic at hand and start your own pet conversation. I didn't see ONE comment about Hunter, Benghazi, Hilary's deleted servers or even the BLM riots until people, LIKE YOU, changed the subject and deflected to Jan. 6th. Also, why did you say "you guys". How do YOU know who I support? I'm saying you're making assumptions because I pushed back on the way you attempted to deflect the conversation. I will say one thing, though. That lack of action is rather weak. The riots lasted about 3 hours and then the bozos just WENT HOME. All on their own. No police coming after them. No big gun battles. No one arrested in the building. No perp walks out, handcuffed with their heads down. None of that. They just went home. What should Trump have done? Would they have gone home an hour earlier if Trump had asked them to....if that was even possible. You can't hold Trump for not doing something. That's not against the law. That would be like holding Trump responsible for the BLM riots because he did nothing to stop them. Doing nothing isn't against the law. Also, why, when there were almost 100,000 Trump supporters out there and everyone knew that they were coming, wasn't there more security in place? I find that totally perplexing. ALL those people and no added security. It doesn't make sense. Also, only a few hundred forced their way in. Others were waved in by security. Had the doors held open for them and everything and only a few hundred out of a 100,000 people. It was the lamest insurrection that I've ever heard of.
