@southernbellnc6241 Parent/child relationships are unbelievably complex. This does include all kinds of arguments and family strife. Good people understand this and incorporate forgiveness in their lives. However, the narcissist, like Kaepernick, uses the difficult times, to advance their own agenda or line their pockets. He went through nothing of real consequence except being raised in an affluent home with parents who loved him (his words). That's what he went through. The rest is nitpicking about little things of no significance that only a spoiled first world child would complain about.

@madD8845 Everything is "problematic". All you have to do is go and look for the problems and you're bound to find them. Kaepernick is an opportunist and he's working modern cultural pressures to make himself a buck or two. Embarrassing your parents, before the entire country, is something that an ungrateful spoiled teenager would do. It's time for him to grow up.

@toomuchdrivetothrive He called them racists. That has become one of the biggest insults in modern society. You don't get to claim some special status which would exempt you from acting like a jerk. Child/parent relationships having rocky patches are normal. Calling your parents names, on a public forum, goes beyond that, especially when one is supposed to be an adult. It's time for that 35 year old, multi-millionaire to grow up and quit his whining.
