  1.  George Gee  Baloney. Do you really think that those machines will be cranking out products for a populace that can't afford to buy them? What we'll see is a change in how people attain financial security. How that will happen is difficult to predict but who could have predicted, in 1850, how the economy would change over the next 150 years. Those who tried, like Thomas Malthus, predicted mass starvation as well. Yet, more people have been lifted out of abject poverty, in the last 20 years, than at any time in human history. We're producing more food on less land and the only people starving today aren't starving due to lack of food. It's due to political corruption and war. The ability to feed them is there. Human weakness or the tendency to imperfection is the reason they're in trouble.
