I have gay friends who think that the entire pride parade thing and pride month are ridiculous and depraved. They feel as if their lives have been usurped and demeaned by pride activists and the trans community, that parody regular people, especially women. For me, it's not much different than white folk, putting on black face, to parody black Americans. They dress up as caricatures of humans but we can't say anything for some reason that I can't even fathom. If I were a woman, I'd be really upset by the way women are portrayed by drag queens, even more than I am now. I don't get how others don't see it that way.
