@deepPuddlesarefun The difference is that Hong Kong is being forced to join a nation that they don't want to join. They've not been a part of China, the national entity as it exists, at this moment, at any time in their history. They were under British protection when the Marxists took over China and have remained that way for years. Now, they're being told that, against their will, they MUST acquiesce to the supremacy of China. That's the difference. If you can't see that, you're being intentionally obtuse.

Not actually anti communist as it was anti Soviet invasion. The Finns were being invaded by the Soviets in 1939 and a Soviet minister had the gall to call bombs dropped, food drops for the starving Finns. Finns started calling the bombings "Molotov food baskets" and later, when the Finns made the incendiary devices to throw at Russian tanks, they called them "Molotov Cocktails", like an aperitif to go along with the Molotov food baskets. The Finns were anti communist. They were anti being invaded.

Those weirdos in CHAZ are no different than my sisters, when we were kids, playing house. Us guys would make forts, playing at war and sometimes we'd get together and create our little society. We'd protect against the unseen enemy, the girls would create walkways and even plant flowers and it was all great fun, pretending we were adults. We all grew out of it because real life isn't like playing house or building forts.
