I don't know if Baldwin wanted to kill her. I do believe that he was angry with her and that it was a backhanded threat, sort of what some people do with their finger. He had a gun in his hand and, to show his displeasure, pantomimed killing her. Now he's scrambling because he knows that he should never have done that.
