@atlas8590 We do want a Republic with democratic institutions. People operating and choosing their representatives within the confines of a Constitution. Like it is right now.

@christiansmith131 That's true. However, it's been said by more than one foreign pundit that it would be extremely difficult for a foreign to invade and hold the US. Why? Because American citizens are better armed than most nations. That has to be a consideration. When Germany invaded the Netherlands, hardly any people in the Netherlands had weapons of any sort. They couldn't get together and form citizen militias or even pick of marching Nazis from a distance because they had no weapons. All they could do is stand at the side of the road and watch the Nazis march by. It incurred a scary and helpless feeling in the pit of every stomach.
