Bat Eater I'll add to that to say that they need Trump and his supporters to be evil to justify the hatred and violence that they, themselves, are advancing. They can't face the fact that they might be the evil ones. If we're not evil, then they're doing those things for no reason and that would make them the detestable ones. You've nailed their logic perfectly except they're too self unaware of why they're behaving in this manner.
