  1. I used to watch the NFL regularly. Then, when Colin refused to stand for the anthem, I quit watching. It felt like a purity test to me and I didn't like the implication or the divisiveness. As for the NBA, I find it astounding that a guy like LeBron James, net worth, 450 Million dollars, babbling on about how life isn't fair because he's black and then showing support for the Chinese, who treat their minorities, as part of the law of the country, like dirt. The man, and the league are a bunch of hypocrites. These pro athletes are the most fortunate people in the world and they act like that. Hockey is my favourite sport and they've been rather quiet about this woke stuff although it pissed me off when Don Cherry was fired. If they go overtly woke, that's 60 years of loyalty to the NHL and the Toronto Maple Leafs that will no longer mean a thing. I watch sports to relax. If I wanted to be told that I'm an evil person, I'd call the ex-wife. I'll let you guess how many times a year I call her.

  2. @Robert Lewandoski Therefore, I'm going to burn all the cars at the local dealership in Fenelon Falls, Ontario. That should put a stop to it. Sorry for the sarcasm, but this rioting makes no sense, does nothing but create hard feelings and adds to the chaos and I don't get the logic of it.

  3.  @Arjuntheone88  No.....I don't like someone devising purity tests to see who is acceptable and who is evil. That's the role of the preacher at the service I attended Sunday morning. In the afternoon, I want to watch a football game not to be browbeat by millionaires on how oppressive and horrible we all are. A bunch of elitist snobs lecturing me isn't my idea of a pleasant Sunday afternoon, knowing I'm going back to the factory in the morning. I want to enjoy my weekend off. It's short enough as it is.

  5.  Skinny Bones Jones  Thousands and thousands of years. We didn't even know North and South America existed till a little over 500 years ago. How could we have ruled 2 continents if we didn't even know that they were there to be ruled. It wasn't till 500 years ago that we knew that you could sail around Africa. When Marco Polo came back from the Far East, they called him a liar and Japan was hardly more than a myth till 400 years ago. Hell, Columbus thought that he was off the coast of China when he was in the Caribbean all along. Where did you learn history?

  6.  Skinny Bones Jones  The Byzantine Empire is hardly the world. Not even the Roman Empire. Are you really going to pretend that there wasn't a powerful civilisation in India, China, Japan, what is now the Cambodia and the area around it, Central America, South America or African nations at the time? They ruled in their areas, but didn't expand that far out of Europe. We know about them due to the extensive literature they left behind but they hardly knew that most of those places were even on earth let alone ruled over them. They had a few Crusades about 800 years ago, but they had very limited success and lost it when the Mongols showed up. Hell, the Mongols scared the crap out of Eastern Europe for quite awhile. Even the Byzantines were at a constant war with first the Sassanids from Persia, then the Arabic Muslims and followed by the Turks who were invading and conquering the Byzantines for hundreds of years. It wasn't until the year 1500 that the Europeans started to expand out beyond the Mediterranean Sea. I can show you a map of the extent of the Roman Empire. It encircled the Mediterranean Sea and that was it. There's one HUGE world outside of that area.
