@Itachipwnsnubcakes NO....it's been co-opted by a bunch of self appointed moralists who are using it to isolate ordinary Americans. They're the self congratulatory authoritarians, who use this flag as their litmus test to see who is evil (the right) and who are the exceptionally good (themselves). They continue to come up with new symbols as soon as the old one loses its strength. The "OK" symbol, the MAGA hat, the use of banned words, all designed to exercise power over others. Not by the right but by the left. Without these symbols and words, they couldn't control the masses with their Orwellian Newspeak and the way the use symbols to demonise. Obama flew the Betsy Ross flag at his inauguration. OBAMA!!!! That was 7 short years ago. Obama was seen using the OK symbol, too. You're just wallowing in your sense of superiority and you'll use anything to show just how morally better you are than the rest of us. The worst of evil deeds are done by those who believe that they are doing good and are incapable of doing wrong.

There are no alternatives. Trump is the president and leader of the Republican party. He's the best the conservatives have. There IS no one else. Besides, the regressive left think he's another Hitler or worse. We're all putting labels on ourselves and others. Examine ALL the issues and decide on their merits on whether you support them or not. Quit thinking of them as left and right issues. Are they sensible and will they work. That's how you should be looking at things.

@evenflow714 A political solution might not happen but what is happening is that more and more people are associating this type of behaviour with the Democrats. There are those who never say a word about their true feelings but hate the fact that they feel as if there's something wrong with them for appreciating the life they have in America. I work as a bartender. When things like this are mentioned in the bar, it's invariably the left and their invective is so fierce and angry that very few challenge them. However, I've heard conservatives talk quietly among themselves and quite often it's people that I'd never think would feel that way. They don't want to be in the receiving end of the names, disdain and near threats that the left are always throwing their way. So they shut up....until it's time for the ballot box. Then they'll speak loudly with their secret ballot. There may not be a political solution but the Democrats are cutting their own throats by associating themselves with this type of ridiculous behaviour.

@evenflow714 Legal immigrants aren't going to vote Democrats, out of hand. They don't have anything to lose. Not like the illegals. Most of the legal immigrants have been in America for years, have established jobs, homes, families and are a part of the community. They are the immigrants that the government have allowed in as part of an immigration policy that takes employment into consideration. These immigrants could go either way. Some of them have left socialist countries and don't want to live under that political system and that's why they came to America in the first place. Regular Americans are still a voting force to be reckoned with and a lot of them are getting tired of feeling as if they're somehow tainted by some of their beliefs. When I heard Hillary calling middle Americans a bunch of deplorables, I knew Trump had a good chance of becoming president. The Democrats and the media are even worse now. I might be wrong but but I'm seeing an even more decisive win for Trump. People are sick to death of the whole tip toeing, stop offending, politically correct crybabies on the left....at least I am. I should add that the incessant cry of "racist" is getting old, too. When milk becomes racist, adults are going to bail.
