You clearly do not understand the Canadian electoral process. We have elections every 5 years. However, an election can be called at anytime before those 5 years are up. Canada had our last election in Oct. 2019. That means that there will not be another election until, at the latest 2024 unless there is a vote of non-confidence or the sitting majority calls another election. They voted to suspend the right to CALL an election until the Covid crisis is over. That would include a vote of non-confidence. However, in 2024 there MUST be an election, as is scheduled and as proscribed by law. I've simplified it quite a bit but that's the gist of it. Canadian election procedures are a lot different than in the US. Believe me.....I don't want to see Trudeau as Prime Minister for 1 more minute but what you're saying just isn't true.

@jaybird3651 Another one of those "inject bleach" idiots. Trump is no longer president. Quit whining about something that doesn't exist, anymore. You're like those Japanese soldiers who didn't quit fighting till 1974, 29 years after the war was over.

@jAZZCRU22 Did you know that the great "socialist" paradise called Sweden doesn't have a minimum wage? You're the type of person that could never start a business because you have no idea how hard it is to turn a profit. In fact, most businesses don't turn a profit for the first few years of business. You've just condemned all start-ups into failure. Pretty soon we'll have only the big corporations left and then watch the wage fixing. You're trading short term success, for the worker, for their long term failure and misery. Like FUNKOfilms said.....Nice job advocating for big corporations.

@greatscott9838 You couldn't pay me enough to live in any suburb of any city in the US. I can't blame Tim for leaving Philly. Those cities are rotten to the core.

@joe-di6zf I'm not going to get into whether the elections are rigged or not. It's an argument that gets nowhere. The guy said something about how elections were suspended in Canada. I set him straight on the procedures. How honest those elections are is another topic. All I pointed out was how elections are called in Canada. That's my point. They guy doesn't know how elections are called and I explained it to him. The rest is behind the scenes conjecture and neither one of us knows what they're doing behind closed doors.

@Man-vs-Metal They can't print money and not take in taxes. We'd have inflation at incredibly high altitude heights. They need to tax as high as possible to couch the inflation of printing money.

@KraziAnnRKissed If you can walk to where I live, they're too close. I've been to Jersey. It's a Democrat wasteland. Crazy lockdowns, anti 2A, and the rest. It's one of the states that forced Covid patients into nursing homes. I wouldn't live there.

@brads3032 OH.....you mean like BIG Corporations? Run all the small businesses into bankruptcy so the big guys flourish. Isn't it weird that those who believe that they're advocating for the little guy are actually cheering on Corporations. All of us, who've worked in the small private sector, thank you for your concern but I chose to work for small businesses to avoid being a non-person....a cog in the wheel. What's really sad is that you probably don't even know that's what the big corporations want. When all the small businesses are gone, they'll still be there and then watch the wage fixing then. We'll ALL be poor.

They've found a new way to exaggerate the numbers. Five Democrats, that fled Texas, tested positive for Covid. They're not sick because they've been vaccinated. They're just positive and the reason for it is simple. You have to GET Covid for the vaccination to work. Then Nancy Pelosi tested positive because she met with them. She's vaccinated too. None are in danger but we have to enact new restrictions because the numbers are going up. They always talk about "the science" but it doesn't mean a thing. They either don't have a clue or they twist it to suit their own agenda.

@KraziAnnRKissed He lived across the river and a short drive from Philadelphia. When the BLM riots were going on, he could hear the helicopters flying towards Philly and people there were nervous that the riots could spill over into the outskirts of Philly. I wouldn't live there, either. I live 110 miles from the nearest big city and I sometimes think I'm still too close. City folk are moving in and ruining our lives with their weird ideas of country living and telling us how we're doing it all wrong. I don't care if you move in from the city or not but don't tell us how to live. The stories I've heard about those wannabe country folk are just weirdly incredible.

@Mapple-qp6yg "majority of lower income people can’t hop from job to job." Why not? I did. I've always been a blue collar and I've had over 20 different jobs over my life. Worked hard, had a good reputation and NEVER had a problem finding work. If you want to work...you will. Also, the reason that people are mass quitting is because the laziest employees have realised that they don't have to work anymore. A lot of them hardly worked even though they showed up, doing only the bare minimum and as little as possible. It's one of the reasons employers can't pay more. They have too many employees working at half speed. 2 of them doing the work of 1 good employee. I know. I've worked alongside those parasites all my life.

But he has to do the same thing as anyone else. He has to spend wisely or he will go broke. He'll just go broke in bigger quantities. The principles of handling money is still the same.

@elinope4745 The bars is just an example, Eli Nope you dope. If you can't understand the point that he's making, just say so.

@kv1293 My God....you guys are thick. I NEVER said one word on how well it worked. I explained the DAMN process....THAT'S ALL. They didn't suspend any elections. They just agreed to not have a vote of non-confidence or call an EARLY election. The scheduled 5 year election will still take place in 2024, like it's supposed to. How rigged it is, I can't tell you but IT WILL HAPPEN. Just like it did last Nov. in the US. If you don't understand what a vote of non-confidence is.....JUST SAY SO. Damn.....try to explain the election procedure and you just won't accept it. Use your friggen brain.

@mera8785 There may not be an election anyway till 2024. In fact, since it is a minority government coalition, if the NDP won't vote against the majority Liberal government, there won't be a vote of non-confidence. That happens ALL the time in Canadian politics. They agree to not vote in the manner to have an early election. That they made it a formal agreement, doesn't change that it happens all the time. If the members of the coalition are afraid that the official opposition will win a majority, they will all agree to not vote for an early election or a vote of non-confidence. If the official governing party is afraid that they'll lose the election, they won't call an early election either. That happens all the time in Canadian politics. It's nothing new. Your pretense that it is, doesn't change that fact. Check the history of Canadian politics. It's nothing new for parties to try to hold off an election if it's in their best interests. If you don't understand Canadian politics, you might try reading up about it.

@joe-di6zf Why would I bend the knee? At least we didn't have an election that was "fortified" so as to have the "proper outcome". If they are reviewing my social media....let em. I don't care what they think. I just signed a petition, TODAY, against my provincial premier. Let them review that.
1
@joe-di6zf We don't know. How can I make comments on something that I don't know? I know that I don't like Trudeau or his party. I don't like the NDP or the Conservatives, either. I didn't vote for any of them. My party, a brand new one, was only formed in 2018, by those who are right leaning and want to see more fiscal responsibility in government. It'll be a hard sell to Canadians who really like free stuff.

@kv1293 They didn't take it away. They all agreed to not have an election till the proper time. Canadian elections aren't like American elections. American elections are rigid...every 4 years. In Canada, it's every 5 years but there are conditions under which it could happen earlier. Everyone voted to not have an early election and it was almost unanimous. It's up to the minority party of the coalition that makes up a minority government. In every minority government, that minority party makes the decision whether or not to have an election. If they decide that they like the status quo....there is NO election and it happens all the time. They have basically decided not to have an early election, just like so many other minority parties have over 100 years of politics. Trudeau couldn't form a government in 2019 because his party didn't win enough seats. He had to get the Bloc Quebecois and the NDP to agree to form the government with him so he would have enough votes to hold a government. Do you get that? THEY AGREED TO FORM A GOVERNMENT. All they did was agree to continue to form that government until the 5 year term was up or Covid wasn't as big an issue. They did the same thing during WW1 and 2. As long as the agreeing parties agree not to have a vote of non-confidence, you don't have an election. In fact, had Trudeau not been able to form a coalition to form a government in 2019, there would have been another election back then....before Covid. Enough parties agreed to not do that and to form the government. You're just not getting how Canadian elections work. The odds were that there wasn't going to be an election anyway till 2024. They're too afraid that there's a growing conservative movement and that they'd lose their power. Saying it was for Covid allows them to say that the conservative movement doesn't scare them and that they're good people because they don't want to kill grandma with Covid. It's just political rhetoric.

Why would anyone go back to work for an extra 50-60 bucks a week? What Biden is telling this restaurant owner is to pay his employees another 2-300 bucks a week. What small or new restaurant can afford that? He basically told this guy to shut his doors for good. That's the same with all the shoplifting in San Francisco. Walgreens just closed 17 stores because of the theft. Now, people are complaining that there aren't enough drug stores. I would not be surprised to see government run drug stores opening soon in the Bay area. I'll bet that if it does happen, those stores won't have a problem with shoplifting. Not armed security but the police patrolling the store and woe betide the thief. Get rid of the independents and leave it all to a centralised power. It appears to be the way of the future.

@613harbinger316 They know how to get power. They just don't know what to do once they get it.
