You don't have to be an economist to have common sense. AOC studied economy but without common sense, she still knows nothing.

@ShokujiAkai They hate big corporations but who's going to build those trucks that's bringing them food from across the country? Billy-Bob Bodine in his backyard? They have no idea what it will do if the big corporations go chapter 11. All they see is "RICH" and it drives them insane with envy. There's a reason why envy is one of the 7 deadly sins and why "Thou shalt not Covet" is one of the Ten Commandments. Envy and the desire to have what others have has been one of the most destructive forces in human history.

November Reign I have a college diploma in data processing and I took a couple of classes in economics. This is what you would call theory. Theory is useless without an understanding of application, though. Theory is based on applied economics because without application you cannot form a scientific hypothesis and from there a theory. Application should always validate the theory or the theory is no good. So she may have studied economy theory but she didn't understand what she was studying or how theories are formed.

November Reign I was kidding about the dick part. I knew that's not what you were saying. I was a manager of a steel yard and I know that the business management courses I took in college really didn't prepare me for the everyday routines of managing a real business. It gave me some background, I guess but most of what a manager does is common sense. A good college education teaches you how to think and be adaptable. It's not what or how they're teaching students these days.
