@jmac4466 I think it's a tongue in cheek comment. It's suggesting that Eve lied about the snake in an effort to shift the blame from herself onto something else. Since there were no other people to blame, she tried to convince Adam that the snake talked to her and that's what convinced her to eat the apple. It's not what the Bible says but it is an amusing interpretation. It's an argument to human nature.

Men lie about money due to the pressure that women put them to show that they have successful careers. There's supposed to be equal pay but women shame men if they make more money than them by eliminating them from the dating pool. We see it all the time when women are asked what's important in a dating partner. Money and success are always high on the list to a woman. Men want honesty and responsibility in women. A woman that is too promiscuous doesn't seem all that responsible. In other words, they both lie for the same reason.
