@jamestaylor3805 Yes...the WORLD is overpopulated but US birth rates are 1.7%. That means that US population is in decline, that is it would be if it wasn't for the insane immigration policies of the Democrats. In fact, population rates are in decline in almost every country in the world except Muslim countries. In the western world it has all been done voluntarily without demonising newborn human beings or parents who might want to raise a child. Her rhetoric is completely unnecessary, irrelevant and pointless.

@ViralVenom I graduated high school in 1970 and then went to college and graduated in 1989. We actually learned stuff like Math, English, History, Geography, Science....you know stuff that you can use and helps you to think logically. They weren't about self loathing back then or blame. They'll never get me to hate my own grandchildren, no matter how many of them come along. I accept life as it happens, fix what I can and don't sweat the rest. Although I'm not Christian, I really like this prayer. "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." I wish that more people would live their lives by this.

@Merk985 I'm complaining about those of my generation that infiltrated the universities and used their platform to covertly steer us ALL away from our Constitutional rights. This isn't a complaint about the young. I'm going after all those you spent generations fighting against our rights. It's like the building of Notre Dame in Paris. It was a 3 generation work effort to complete the construction. This is similar. The socialists worked lifetimes to see their efforts to fruition. That's what we're seeing now. We were frogs in a pot. We didn't know the water was boiling until it was too late and that was their tactic. They knew full well we'd never accept the Marxist agenda if they advocated for it. They introduced their ideas one item at a time, sounding reasonable, until we'd all be in so deep that, this was their hope, we would be unable to turn back. Had this not worked today, they would have worked on the NEXT generation and YOU'RE generation would be the one that raised the revolutionaries. They're building a hypothetical Notre Dame.

@sheilahart1267 I wasn't talking about HOW it was done. All I said was that it was done voluntarily. People don't want large families. It was a choice. I had 2 kids and my wife and I would NEVER have aborted a child...especially my wife, who had a strong hatred of it.

@sandrajones2262 I went full time and worked part time. I studied office systems and data processing. I never got into those fields but it did give me the background to get into production management. That led me to being a yard manager at recycling plant and a crane operator. My education taught me that I'd never be happy with a desk job. I loved working outdoors so, in spite of not doing exactly what I was studying for, the education still led me to places that I enjoyed.

@sheilahart1267 Did you not even bother to read my comment that I directed to you? I guess I'll have to highlight the section that pertains to how I feel on the subject. "I had 2 kids and my wife and I would NEVER have aborted a child" I would think that this shows how I feel on abortion yet you still want to argue with me. You are one persistent harpy. I agree with you and you still want to fight. Maybe you should hold your breath until the anger goes away. It definitely isn't helping you to think in a logical manner.

@sheilahart1267 READ MY STATEMENT AGAIN. I was quite clear of how I felt on the subject. The child in the womb doesn't have a choice to be born or not, so that's a spurious argument. The choice is for those who can make it. Asking a 6 month old baby about choice doesn't make sense. Also, when my wife and I decided to only have 2 children, there were lots of options, to make that happen, that doesn't include abortion and we took them. This isn't only about whether to abort or not abort. There are dozens of birth control methods available. I can CHOOSE to use them, as well. A lot of women choose how many children they want and would NEVER abort a child. So...quit accusing me of things that I never said and don't believe in. I can only tell my feelings on abortion so many times before I will come to the conclusion that I'm talking to a cement head.

@thepauldobbs So you want me to hate my children for making that decision. Ok...upset with them. I'm not going to do that....EVER!!!! I will love and care for my kids and my grand kids, no matter what. No qualifications, no "you're destroying the planet" vitriol. They are and will always be special to me.
