@greghenchin17 Where did I say that? I said that the majority, by far, of illegals are Hispanic. Completely different. In fact, illegal Hispanics account for almost 2 percent of the American population. That's 1 of every 50 people in the US is an illegal Hispanic. That's an incredibly high demographic number. 17 percent of the population have Hispanic roots, which means the 1 in 8 Hispanics in the US is an illegal. So if you ask 8 Hispanics if they're here legally, at least one of them will say no. That's pretty good odds for a betting man and it does affect the actions of those who are commissioned to find illegals. You'd do the very same if your job centred around finding illegals. It's human nature. There are certain areas where the illegal population is very high, like in Hispanic neighbourhoods. Many illegals tend to depend on the help of each other so they maintain close cultural ties with one another. Also, 2nd generation Hispanics are more likely to speak English fluently and participate in a job market requiring advanced training. So even if they look Hispanic, these individuals will be ruled out, almost automatically, as illegals. It's the uneducated that have low paying jobs and speak English poorly that will be targeted and even if they're in the country legally, they'll be more apt to be asked to show their right to be here.

@greghenchin17 Of course there is. If I'm looking for a grey haired white guy, I'm not going to approach young Asian women, am I. That would be a waste of time and just plain stupid. If I'm to be successful at finding illegals, I will go to where I have the likeliest chance of finding them and that would be Hispanics that are in marginal jobs and speak English poorly. I'd be stupid if I went to a native reservation to find those illegals because the odds of finding an illegal there is extremely poor to none. It is known that, by far, the greatest number of illegals are Hispanics. Therefore, it will be natural to search in those communities that will have the greatest percentage of illegals. In the US that's California and it's overwhelmingly Hispanic illegals, so that's where you look. Not in Maine where illegals are rare. You increase your odds of success by looking where the chances of success are the best. That's logical and to be expected. I'm not going to go apple picking in a cherry orchard. I'm not going to get many apples that way. To think otherwise is unrealistic.

@matthewdoty1327 Yes there are illegals in the US from other countries than Mexico. However, Mexico accounts for well over half of all illegals. The next country of origin is El Salvador, then Guatemala. India is 4th and then Honduras. 4 of the top 5 countries are Hispanic so when an illegal is deported, it's a good bet that the country of origin for that illegal will be Hispanic. In fact, my sister was one of the illegals. She's a white, red haired, blue eyed woman. She was apprehended, after a number of years in the US and deported back to Canada.
