  1. Ahh The British Council! My Ukrainian wife is an associate Professor of langauges (she teaches English) & the "Kings English" is taugh here as part of the official curriculum. Before co-vid and then the war, My wife used to attend an annual conference that lasted a week run by the British Council, I think pretty much well asll the text books and teching methods for the English laungauge was sourced via the council. I used to accompany her to Kyiv for the week and while she and her colleagues attnded the coneferenvce I'd hit the streets and just be a tourist! Always loved visiting Kyiv, have lunch at the cafes., apend a bit of time milling around kreschatikstreet etc! Anyway I hope the conferences resume once all this nasty busniess is over and we boot the Russians out, they ruined everything! :(
