  1. I've worked in IT for decades and I have some advice for anyone here in Ukraine reading this. With the "no internet' Mari mentions at the 3:10 mark, there is a "trick" you can do to get internet when the power is out here. What you can do is plug the WAN ethernet cable directly into your laptop or macbook (if it's a macbook air like my wife has you'll need a USB ethernet port dongle, the "air" part of the name mens Wi-Fi only) and then get internet. Some caveats, because you are bypassing the router (and the firewall it has), make sure your firewall in OSX or Windows is ON, otherwise you are wide open for shots. The other thing is you may need to register these devices that are not your router with your ISP as when you plugin the cable in will get you an IP addy and DNS server addy, but no internet traffic. All you have to do is call you ISP here in Ukraine and get them to register all the laptops and macbooks that will use this WAN cable. It's better than relying on SIM card data and tethering to your phone as when the cell towers batteries run flat SIM card data won't work, plus the SIM network gets congested when the power is cut as everyone hits the SIM card data hard as you can imagine.
