As I am in Lutsk I really would feel guilty if I didn't make an effort to go. Take a day or so to organise someone to look after our 2 cats, plus the Mrs has been travelling a lot lately on excursions to Poland. Czechia as she's got "cabin fever" due to the war's effect on travel, so she'll jump at the e chance to come along. Hopefully I can get 2 free slots by the time I organise it and let her know and find a cat-sitter. If I had a car I could drive to Lyviv in ike 2 and a bit hours, but it'll be a 7 hour bus trip. Still worth it! see what happens. My favourite place in Lyviv is a bar/restuarant callled Kriyivka, it's an old UPA underground hideout.I'll be going for 2 reasons, your conference and dinner and drinks at Kriyivka!

@SourVodka So far so good, I asked the Mrs if she wanted to go to Lyviv for a few days and she said "yes" before I could even finish the sentence, just gotta get one of her colleagues from the uni to look after our cats then I can book 2 seats. 'Cos were IDP's heree we don't know many people to ask to cat-sit, everyone we knew was really back in Donbas, they're all over Europe now.

@SourVodka YW & you're genuine enthusiasm has done the ssme. John's gone from an unknown to one of the premiere YT presenters in the Ukraine infosphere for English audiences in the West. I suppose it's accepted that anyone could start a channel and try that, But your average Joe off the street would not have the knowledge to prepare relevant questions and the follow on conversation, or the background in Russian language. Hopefully some other regular listeners in Europe can make it, I assume most of the SC audience would be from the USA, so it's a long shot any Americans will turn up.

@tarasbulba7476 yea, I know, where I am IDP here in Lutsk you never hear anyone speaking Russian, but where I am from in Donbas, you never hear anyone speaking Ukrainian. I haven't been home in a year maybe it's changed but people we know stuck there still use Russian. Background in Russian that would be the host of this channel. There's still some people in Donbas with a really bad attitude to Ukraine, if they see you wearing a Vyshyvanka on the street or heard you speak Ukrainian, they think you are a "Banderovats", haha, I sometimes call the Mrs "Moya Banderovka", lol 🙃
