  1. The Ukrainian soldier reporting from Bakhmut, on his greens is the nickname "киянин" (KIYANIN, which denotes someone from Kyiv. It's not a surname. Definitely a nickname. or w/e. That is most likely his call sign I'd say! :)

  2.  @JimGobetz  It's not a surname, it's a nickname, KIYANIN means "the one from Kyiv" or "Kyiv guy" or similar. How do I know this, I've lived in Ukraine for almost a decade....
