It was the right thing to do to save the belongings and treasures, even if they were personal, from the Russians, they steal and loot absolutely everything, I can attest to that living in Ukraine , from the direct testimony of my wife's relatives stuck in occupied lands. One of my wife's cousins from a village near the contact line, occupied after 2022, returned after de-occupation to find the entire contents of her house looted, to put in her words (translated) "they took everything, they left nothing, they just took it all". Thrse were just the mundane household contents of an average person, not unique treasures.
