What’s up Jack,
I was posting mostly reels when I was posting that much per day. One trick I would use is, if the content later in the day (post 6, 7 etc) didn’t feel as strong or important as content I’d posted earlier, I would NOT post it to feed. This is an option that you can toggle with reels. Usually people can get away with at least 2 or 3 high quality posts per day an not fatigue an audience. Each audience it different though, so you probably know your audience better than I do. It’s important to make sure your first few posts are the highest quality / most impressive posts you can make — and then later in the day, if you still want to post more, consider posting them as reels, but not to feed. This will make sure it’s being seen by mostly new people only. Personally tho, I just conditioned my audience over time to rock with 7-8 posts per day. I made that the norm to expect.
As far as your reach dropping off after you hit 12K, this is something that I’m still trying to figure out. I see complaints from big pages all over the internet, saying that Instagram killed their reach. Instagram has admitted to doing this too. The only answer I can seem to find right now, is just focus on your content quality.
I’m sure Instagram’s algorithm will be fixed in the long run, so in my opinion, it’s worthy of our effort in the short term.
Hope this helps ✌️

If you need to boost your numbers quickly, use the follow for follow method, shoutout for shoutout method, and paid shoutout methods. Removing ghost followers is really a huge help for long term growth, so hopefully, after you get some new followers, you’ll feel comfortable removing some older ghost followers.
As far as content, try reposting or rehashing any old content that performed exceptionally well. Try posting more too, and look for any trends that you can find with your audience, and what kind of content they engage with the most.
The $1.80 strategy will get you better quality growth than a lot of other strategies, but in my experience it’s a little bit slower.
See if those tweaks help, if not, you can always reach out to me on YouTube or my IG

Just my thoughts:
If you’re marketing a song, first of all, you’ll make things 10x easier on yourself if you make the song itself marketable, when you make it. Ex: distinct quotables, sounds, drops, energy, etc.
Find the most iconic or memorable snippet of that song & make it a sound.
Now, if you’re the artist & you put the sound on your own reel(s) - it’s not gonna have AS MUCH weight. People will quickly recognize that you’re promoting your own music on your own reel. You could still make a song blow up this way, but I suspect it’d be harder.
My brain goes to: get with some friends, make 2 or 3 of the most viral reels that can possibly make, using that sound, and pay meme pages / music pages on IG or TikTok to promote those reels.
I might not even ask the pages I’m paying for promo, to promote or tag me in the reel they post. That way it gives the illusion of organic virality. Starting an “organic trend” where nobody knows you’re behind it, is where I see the biggest upside.

I’ve been dealing with the same problem on my TrapTheory101 page. Engagement down. I’m removing ghost followers, but it’s not rebounding as fast as normal.
What you said about “shadowbanned” could be true. There are a variety of things that could lead to a decrease in your “trust score” with Instagram. For example, covering controversial topics, getting action blocked multiple times, or using banned hashtags.
If you’ve been doing anything like that - definitely chill out. Either way, try decreasing the amount of actions that you’re performing in a day.
Removing 500 ghost followers in a single day is definitely too much. IG’s algorithms would almost certainly look at that as “bot behavior.”
I recommend removing 50 - 150 ghost followers in a day, when you do it. Also cut back on the likes, comments, DM’s and follows that you’re doing. Those count as actions.
If your trust score is bad, then we need to cut back on your actions & make IG realize you’re a normal page again. This usually takes time.
For my page, I’m still working on cutting ghost followers, but slowly. I’ve also been brainstorming how to make my content more interactive and unique. The truth is, no matter how good our content is, we can always do better. And great content always wins in the long run.
Hope this helps 🙏

My thoughts as someone who’s more populist-center-right: Whether Cenk is the wrong messenger or not, there’s some truth to his message. Democrats did take their most massive loss in decades during the 2024 election. Trump’s the first Republican candidate to win the popular vote in a minute. Democrats also lost previously left-wing figures like RFK and Tulsi Gabbard to the right. So clearly something the democrats are doing isn’t working. In my opinion, they’re tone-deaf to the issues of the working class. Democrats’ smugness and overall confidence in always being correct also comes across as unattractive (that’s not all Dems, but in my experience - a lot of them). Personally, I like when pundits and politicians are willing to talk to the other side and debate ideas publicly - because then I win. I get to hear different ideas and theories, and then make my own decision. Democrats have largely been “too good” to debate as of the past few years. Sure, there’s presidential debates, but the overall theme of democrats is - you disagree with me so you’re either racist or fascist. Sorry, doesn’t work like that anymore. I don’t fear the mean titles, I fear a future where I can’t take care of my family. I care about ideas, and republicans do a better job of inviting people to understand their ideas.

Hey Patrice,
First of all - I apologize for the late reply here, but let’s get into it.
If it’s been a 2 year decline, there’s going to be a lot of work to do. There are going to be a lot of ghost followers on your account.
It could really be anywhere from 2,000 ghost followers to 12,000. It’s hard to say without running a full test on your page.
Here’s what I would do (and feel free to take my advice, or leave it - this is just my 2 cents):
I would find a reputable person on fiverr who does a “ghost follower identification” service (somebody who isn’t going to ask for your password to your account).
It’ll probably run you between $30 and $60, but if you find the right seller, they’ll be able to provide you with a complete list of all people who aren’t engaging with your content anymore.
If that list is over 10K people, it’s gonna take you months to remove all of those ghost followers. You might wanna really consider a new page at that point. Because the work to get back will be very time consuming. At that point, you’re in a tough dilemma.
If they come back and show that you’ve only got like 4,500 ghost followers, then just remove 25 every hour and a half for a month & you’ll be back in business.
Start with the most obvious ghost followers & work your way down.
I think almost any page is salvageable. It’s just a question of how much time and energy are you willing to put into it.

Let’s do a hypothetical:
If it costs $12,000 to manufacture an E.V. in China, and it costs $24,000 in America - there’s an obvious incentive for businesses to build in China and sell in America.
If you place a 100% tariff on all foreign E.V.’s imported to America, you now have a fair playing field. It would cost $24,000 to import from China, or $24,000 to build in America.
This would incentivize more businesses to build / produce in America. More production in America = more jobs. More jobs = wage growth through competition.
So sure, your cost of goods on a bunch of items would go up, but so would your wages. Furthermore, we wouldn’t have such extreme trade deficits.

Hey congrats on launching a new product!
I also did Amazon private label at one point. There’s a lot of money to be made with that.
The thing is - big traffic won’t come right away on Instagram. The algorithm is set up so that your first 3,000 followers take a while to get. But after that, the algorithm will bump your page big time.
The biggest key is to stay consistent & not get discouraged. The fastest growth hacks are gonna be, post 3-4 reels per day (doesn’t have to be your own content - just repost content that’s relevant to your brand & shoutout the page you got it from), and do the follow for follow method that I explained in episode 2 of this series.
It’s gonna feel like you’re not growing at all on early on, but if you stick with it - Instagram is the cheapest way to market & advertise your product. My main page has 8K followers & frequently gets in front of more than 1,000,000 accounts each day. If you paid for ads to get in front of that many people, you’d be spending 4 or 5 figures.
So truly, stick with Instagram, but just know - it can’t all happen overnight.
I hope this helps & I hope your product launch goes crazy. When you launch, you should drop the name of the product in the comments. Also, comment or DM my TrapTheory101 page on IG so I can shout you out in a later episode.
- Mitch
