Sorry Ben! As a Norwegian, I will gladly debate you... We are a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. Our economic system is a social democracy... "Norway is a capitalist country" as if our constitution and system of government is ran by hedge fund managers and CEOs is simply wrong at faulty. We are also a multi-cultural society ranking higher than USA on every level except the negative ones. We do have poverty in Norway. We do have social and economic inequality. This not due to "Socialism" or the fact that all of us have necessary access to healthcare... These differences have a tendency to increase every time we have a conservative government.

I'm Norwegian...And a veteran.... I'll gladly debate the gutter snipe about Norwegian socialism. I'll debate him on American Capitalism, why it's failing.. and the equally failed American educational system in which he is a part of, and yours truly had a taste of as an exchange student decades ago.. According to him, all this oil of ours, at least all of the profits from it should end up in the hands of a handful of oligarchs instead of going for common goods..At least that's how one can interpret the core agenda of Capitalism.. How does all those tax breaks, and loop holes for yachts working out for you?

So, I wonder, your president Capitalist bragged about giving tax breaks to the rich.. Isn't that wealth redistribution? Your same party also seem to always have money for more wars and more bombs. Your party specifially seem to love "law&order"...Who's going to pay for all those bullets your government is using to shoot all those "thugs" on the street? Who's going to pay for your drug war? Your private prisons? Who's going to pay for the protection of those DAPL pipelines against "terrorists" from Standing Rock? Who paid for Bush's trillion dollar war? Who paid for his bailout of Wall Street in 2008? Seems to me that you get all "feelz" for rich hedge fund heir and get triggered by the notion that they had to pay taxes for money they have not worked for. Seems to me that you are all in favor of a few people get free money, and the rest live as serfs with no rights. Seems to me that you long for the good old feudal system.

Even under the rule of the Swedes for 91 years...Our economic system is a social democracy. which has nothing to do with whether we have elections, or a king or not. Our king has no political power however. I still ponder the point of having one. The "social part" came after WW2... You are a failing democracy where oligarchs and private interests have dictated your lives for decades, giving you the false impression of being "free"..living from paycheck to paycheck and one illness away from bankruptcy. We have a public healthcare system.. We also have a private option for selective surgery and those who don't want to wait. We have a public educational system, and almost free college with the student loans and public scholarships to keep the students alive and roofed. We have strong unions. We have a fairly well functioning public transportation system. We have public outlets for strong liquor.. We tax the hell out of any fossil fuel company who wants to extract our resources. We have an oil fund which is not wasted on massive paychecks for oligarchs,. However, no country on this planet is pure Capitalist or pure socialist. These are mere economic systems independent of what kind of government one live under. A run by and for capitalists is not a country based on democracy or for the common good,. We're not all Capitalists, nor are we pure socialists.. However, only one system is giving a guarantee for inequality and a new form of feudalism. Only in Fascist dictatorships could such a system function. A company is run and owned by a capitalist. His income comes from the wealth his workers create. I have worked for such companies. In the tax haven of Ireland among other places. They do not have the same safety net as in Norway, International corporations highly unregulated, and tax free. Corporate owners has all the say, and can fire anyone for any reason where loyalty is one sided. The owner gets all the profits, and the meager wages for his workers are considered an expense out of his pockets., A company run on socialist principles, everyone get a vote, and a more equal share of the profits. I'm pretty sure I know what I would choose. Now go educate yourself and stop thinking you are in any position to teach anyone about anything.. Seriously.. Having the most ignorant hedge fund buffoon who keeps his Wharton transcripts secret while yanking on how stupid everyone else is as commander in chief, perfectly reflects that less than convincing attitude emanating from the American brain in a random YouTube comments section. . You don't want to believe me, but just look at your own stock markets So to illustrate the difference between Norway and USA, I want to use our healthcare as an example. Went to the hospital about a month ago to have my stomach checked up. They pulled out some polyps some years ago after a decades of stomach issues. Finally, after spending the better parts of ten years, working abroad, I had it checked out. Didn't pay a single dime. It was a public hospital! Do you get the same treatment from your private health insurance company? How much do you pay in private insurance every month? Do you have to pay deductibles? How about pre existing conditions? Or are you on Medicare or Medicaid? We also have paid sick leave, paid vacation, unemploymence, public pensions, public day care, paid maternity and paternity leave.. These are nice Socialist things we have because we voted for them. I know how much you hate those things and want to change our lives to be more like yours and tries to convince me that any of those have "Capitalism" written all over them.. In a way, you may be half right about something. Our public oil fund has been increasing by investments in the stock market. With changing luck.. Some on less than ethical companies...The intention of such gambling with public funds is to increase them for pure common good purposes, and not to give as free checks to CEOs, private business owners and their future heirs. The difference between our social democratic society and your capitalist society is that we as voters and citizens have an actual say in what our resources are being spent on.' What options do you have? "Take the job or leave it! Besides, I own your congressman!" And then you get to work for a boss with no say, and only a meager wage as he runs off with all the profits to buy himself a politician and hide the rest in Cayman Islands.
