@WeeWeeJumbo The Obama I saw in office was not the Obama I saw on the campaign trail. He spent too much energy trying to please the republican minority than to please his majority voter base.

@miapdx503 Was he a leader when he pandered to the republicans who spat in his face even though he gave them almost everything they wanted, and mostly ignored progressives? Was he a leader when he failed to close Gitmo, increased the wars in the ME from 2 to 7, and instead of going after war criminals, he let whistleblowers be tortured? Was he a true leader when he said about the brutal treatment of Nartive Americans at the hands of DAPL terrorists and their collaborators in uniform from out of state when he said "I'll let it play out for a while"...leaving the door wide open for 'prezident' Tiny could just steal the land by signing it away to an alien oil company? So! He granted LGBT the rights they should have had a long time ago. I call that casting the progressives some crumbs as he plays the neoliberal game. If old Barry was a TRUE progressive.... if his democratic congress were truly progressives, and hard on it, you would not have had this embarrassment for a manchild as president. And as a peacenick trehugger and veteran from Norway, I think I want my Nobels Peace Prize back. I don't think he has earned it.
