  2. The term viking is a specific Scandinavian term. What you say about the Saxons, Jutes and Angles may not be as accurate as we have all been lead to believe. There are surprisingly little evidence from archaeological excavations that shows any traces of ethnic replacement, battles, or major changes in the British society when the Romans left and the so called Dark Ages set in. There are some fascinating documentaries that might shake up people's notion of History.

  4. Same goes for parts of Ireland, Dublin in particular. No wonder why i felt at home in Ireland since I first stepped foot there and lived there on and off for 5 years.   5. These are kids tales from my childhood. In 5th and 6th grade, some of my classmates and I would listen to an old teacher give us all the details surrounding the legends of these ancestors of ours. Old school learning in other words. Not to mention the museum on Bygdøy.
