Magic (psilocybin) mushrooms didn't make them go berserker.. The myth says that vikings ate Amanita Muscaria.. But that is contested. None makes you go in a state of violent trance.

@experienceanimation217 I can promise you one thing. Mother Magic Musrooms don't work that way ;-) I should know. I've taken a few trips after all. Bill Hicks and Terrence McKenna should be your teachers in this context and not some myth spreader on Youtube whose historical accuracy can be highhly questioned. And as a Norwegian, like so many others, we neithere do appreciate appropration of our culture by nationalists, white supremacists, and wannabe viking skin heads who raps shitty lines about how great the white race is compared to everyone else. Wanna learn about my culture and history? Learn Hallingkast. Go folk dancing. Learn to eat and like Lutefisk and Ribbe. Learn our language. Learn our long tradition of distancing way before any corona viruses came along. Learn our driniking culture. Drunk like a monkey every weekend. Go skiing in the mountains in the winter. That's Norwegian culture, Walking around with some old viking tattoo and screaming "white power" isn't. And don't make anyone viking. If this offends anyone... GOOD!

@kabukikev7214 That, and an obcsene amount of mjød. It's true they used mushrooms of different sorts in religious settings. But before a battle? Hahah! Take what Terrence McKenna called a "healthy dose" and you'll be quite incapacitated for the next 10-12 hours. tihi

@ladythalia227 What we can document however, is how Cannabis hemp was brough along weith Leiv Eiriksson across the little dam to the new world. I love history.

@thingX1x I do "shrooms". And nope. 3-4 dried and grained psilocybin does not make you energetic. 28 grams? Seriously? I doubt that you have done much other than hearing what others have claimed. Only thing "shrooms" does to you if you eat it or take "shroom" ceremonies every single day, it loses its effect You develop a tolerance. But you won't trip that much anymore. And as far as the claims that the vikings ate "shrooms" to go berserker is concerned.. Falls flat on its own face. Sorry to disappoint you. Plenty of legends and TV series tropes that has no touch with historical facts or reality helps spread this bullshit. Like horned helmets. And how they'd always fight shield wall style is anothergross misconception. Or that it was even invented by the Norse. Yet another dissapointment, eh?

@ThaNarc So, I can presume you have absolutely no experience with the mushroom or the concept of microdosing first hand then?
