You know why the HC bill was watered down? Because GOP got all whiny, and Obama was a limp dick caving under the pressure. That is why. Private corporations have boought politicians for decades. You should listen to George Carlin. The government is no longer by the people for the people. It's by corporations, ofr corporatioins and special interests. Look at Vermont. They have legislated a single payer system. Corporations are now trying to go through legal actions to put a stop to it.

@MRELTUCO2 You know why? They are afraid that it might work! And they will lose billions in profit! The true "death panels" are not in Medicare or Medicaid. The true death panels sits in the boardrooms in the insaurance companies. What you have in USA today is reverse Robin Hood. Take from the ones whom have the least to give to the ones whom have the most. And then they scare you, the middle class to submission...

@ProIndividual So you call universal healthcare robbery, eh? Hqave you looked at the statistics? By your thinking, then corporatists are robbers, since their wealth rests upon the labour of others. And why should you be forced to nuy insuarnce for your car, yet are being left out when it comes to health? Universal HC means that you buy into a system where you are secured treatment when you get sick, or need preventive treatment.

I'm sure that Wendell Potter and Senator Bernie Sanders would disagree with you on that one....:-) Insurance companies lobbying FOR universal HC, forcing the to cover patients that will cost them money instead of making them money. @ProIndividual Is having a living wage for all and universal healthcare somehow an antithesis to libertarianism? If you lost your job and your health insurance, lose your home and get sick, where would you go with your libertarianism then?

The progressives whom want poor people to die from lack of HC, or the GOP lobbyists whom screamed "commie" towards anyone whom spoke for a universal HC plan?
