As a Norwegian, I find this to be a strange custom, since I've never heard of that before. Not as if I'm supposed to be an expert or anything, just because Norway shares borders with Sweden.

@henrikl4244 That's true. Organized "play dates" were not a thing. Unless there was a sleepover. And that's what I find strange. The concept of not being fed while sleeping over at a friend at the age of ten. I never heard of that.

@henrikl4244 Thing is, I grew up in the 70s and 80s. During a time when Cable TV was not a thing either. Gen Xer all over. The irony generation.
