Do you have an Orwellian view on the justice system where you will let the crimijnals go free, and treat whistleblowers in prison for the rest of their lives? Ever heard of Nobel prize winner Carl von Ossietsky? He was a German anti-nazi who got sent to Kz. Esterwegen and died there in 1936 for something similar to what Manning did.   7. So where is the proof of harm? And how is his whistleblowing worse than the war crimes he exposed? Is leaking embarrasing documents and war crimes worse than killing unarmed civilians? Is Manning a worse criminal than Scooter Libby who outed Valerie Plame and covered up the slime traces of his criminal boss? Remember, Scooter Libby got his sentence COMMUTED after a few months, while you hail 50 years for whistleblowing your own govt for the crimes that your government has committed.
