Wonder how many Palestinians who can track their ancestry back to pre-Islamic time.  The question is the morality behind the nation building on a land that had autonomy until after the Ottoman empire, when the Brits took over as a protectorate. If the intent was moral after WW2, they had no right to do so over the heads of the people who already inhabited the place. This is colonialism in practice.

Not sure where you are going with this, but during and after the waves of Irish immigrants after the potato famine, many Americans thought that the Irish should not have the "privilege" of calling themselves WASPs since the WASPs had the whole power structure for a long time...

Sil pullthemnow There was a time in the early 20th century when the "white" American establishment considered giving Irish and Italian immigrants full ziticenship with voting rights, or equate them with the suppressed blacks specially in the south. The worst suppression and persecution however, has been suffered by the Native Americans.
