  3. Lachlan Allen Wow. You have just been owned twice now, and you still think that a neuroscientist is better to analyze what goes on down there than a historian.  I have studied comparative religions as well as history. This Harris has not. Both Reza Azlan and I are more competent than someone who's only on the show for Maher's confirmation bias and complete lack of ability to see the whole picture. It seems that this Harris fella is trying to tie religion to what for instance the Palestinians have to deal with, and like Maher, blaming the victims of a policy they both support.  Why do you keep coming back for more? Do you LIKE being publicly humiliated? Before you answer, I suggest you open a history book. And what is happening there now has a direct tie to the big fat lies that lead to the Iraq war,  and U.S. seedy alliances from Taliban and Mujahedin to Al Quaida and the "moderate Muslims" fighting against Assad.... But this is the typical apologetics mindset. Never look at the consequences of ones own actions, while blaming the other, and then tie their religion to it. What you and Maher and Harris is doing is legitimizing ISIL today. Extremists have a tendency to legitimize each other. Maher legitimize ISIL and other Islamic groups with his Neocon garbage, thinking that it's a progressive ideology to support what the Apartheid state of Israel is doing right now. Not only does he legitimize Islamists, he's also on the same side as Zionists who wishes to see all Palestinian Semites be exterminated. He's also on the same side as the Christian dominionists who couldn't give a shit about the Jews, but want all cramped in there at the expense of the original population so they can start Doomsday. It's the same thing accusing IRA for religious extremism for fighting against an unreasonable occupant in Ireland. And as far as beheadings goes, that's nothing.  You know what a Bloody Eagle is?` Something that my ancestors did on Christians and their other enemies. Lindisfarne bring back fond memories....

  5. Lachlan Allen The problem is that you use the argument of authority. Not only that, you are using an argument on false authority.  And it seems that you do not comprehend that. Old testament is still a part of Christian dogma. And if you have bothered to do REAL research and not just listen to pundits with no historical or religious background,  it's laughable. Ban on abortions, and "sodomy" laws was founded on church dogma. And didn't Kansas have "sodomy laws" until recently? What Maher's, Harris and your problem is that you give ISIL too much credence. And if you want to give Christians equal amount of time, I suggest you go back to 2003 and remember what Bush said about talking to the bible god (the same god as Muslims worship) which Muslim country he should attack -  preferably an oil rich country he and his daddy has a beef with. And then we have the Crusade reference on the Eve of War. I take my authority from my own studies, and the few teacher I have ever had an ounce of respect for. He was my teacher in religion. He was one of Norway's first converts to Islam. After I did my tour of duty in Bosnia, I came home and started my studies after some months abroad, washing away the smell of war and uniforms, and started philosophy, religion and political science. History is a hobby of mine, and complements the other studies.  A neuroscientist would know as much about the big picture in this and Medieval history and bronze age mythology as I would know about neuroscience. And what are "real Christians"? Is this the "no true Scotsman" argument? Who are the "real Christians"? Anyone ever been "real Christians" in history? Wanna see some fun?` http://www.alternet.org/belief/some-right-wing-christians-enthusiastically-promoting-form-genocide http://www.moonofalabama.org/2014/08/a-zionist-demanding-genocide-.html So listening to these two clowns doing math on how many Muslims who would kill them personally is just as laughable as when Fox & Friends are doing it. And none of them has ever set foot on a battle field or as much as put a uniform to have the moral right to be war hawks on Islam on behalf of "Liberal values"... So unless you are ready to get your feet on the ground in Iraq, or Syria and face two enemies, then I suggest you talk quiet about "supporting action" against ISIL. You are playing it right in their hand without being man enough to take responsibility for your poorly chosen words and angle...
