Here's a suggestion to Portugal: Give out free drugs to all drug addicts through blue prescription from the pharmacy. Will sink the crime rates. Assure the quality, and less sick people. See, thing is, there's a large amount of "drug addicts" who starts their addiction at the doctor's office and hospitals. They are people who have been to the hospitcals with severe injuries, and leaves the hospitals as opiate addicts. Doctors are mostly oveer paid drug pushers anyway. So why not eliminate the middle link, by forcing the drug addicts to petty crimes and burglaries. Drug policies must be treated holistically. I write about drugs, addiction and drug policies in my own country on a regular basis. Both as a medical cannabis patient and an activist. Murica! Portugal! Want some bloody good pieces of advice? Then bloody ask me anything, you ignorant Harry Anslinger puppets!

@totalwater9431 Criminal Justice has no business in policing people's consumption of any substance once sold over the counter. Whether it be cocaine, crack, heroin, weed, or psychedelics. Imagine getting access to pure and grained coca leaves without the additives from a drug lab. Imagine getting access to raw opium which can be put under your tongue, or drank as tea. Cops shoujld be used to iprotect the environment, and holding real criminals to account. Not people who chooses to use whatever the Harry Anslinger club has deemed illicit. More people die from alcohol and cigarettes than any other groups of drugs. I consider both as the most dangerous and addictive drugs there are - as well as your unhealthy obsession with guns and big cars. Yet legally sold over the counter - together with a pack of ammo and Mickey Mouse pills (anti-depressants). It does not matter whether people are using more, or less of these. Perhaps they'd be using less Prozac and other pharma drugs that do not work as promised. Only a ton of unwanted side effects.

@OliThaTwist Legalize, regulate, and taxate. Give patients some dignity. Blue prescription on whatever drugs people need. As far as I'm concerned, coca leaves are no worse than adderall for ADHD patients. Opiate dependents, organic is always better than the junk that health providers serve to opiate addicts. A guaranteed income. House over their heads. Increased health services. Send health personel and not cops during welfare checks. Mentally unstable and trigger happy cops are the last actors anyone would want in any scene where a patient needs extra assistance. Thailand has legalized weed all over. And has even supplied house holds with Cannabis seeds. Netherlands are stil a bit schizo in their approach to drug policies. You are allowed to buy and enjoy cannabis from licensed coffeeshops. I used to go there every month to pick up my medical Bedrocan prescribed from my doctor there from a pharmacy. Until Norwegian authorities wanted to clamp down on the amount of med-can we are allowed to import, with new forms to fill out. My Norwegian doctor has been reluctant to fill it out and sign it. So quess what this med-can patient has to resort to. I really don't like what I have to do to get access to my medicine. Go black market. Does this sound way to unreasonable?
